Does 12v outlet only work when engine is on?

Good question, I think it may depend on if you have the ecoboost or hybrid.

You need to run the engine to be able to use the 12v and UCB ports inside the cabin.

The outlets in the bed seem to work about 30 to 45 mins after turning off the truck. I installed an led light kit in the bed and it works.

This number is adjustable in Forscan. There is a limit though, you can't leave it on all the time.

I might have to look at that, because my two 120V 400w outlets turn off immediately after I turn off the ignition. They also don't turn on immediately, it takes a 30-90 seconds after I start the engine.

Might be 12V battery charge level, though. My truck came with EF and I was getting deep sleep notifications, but it's been quiet the past 6 months since I reset the Battery Monitoring System.
