I have a 2023 XL 4 K tow, picking up my 2023 XLT Tremor on Monday . Short story ,after waiting 15 months for the XL and no word . I went to a deferent dealer and ordered a Tremor . When I placed my original order in December of 2021 ,there was no Tremor offered . Anyway the XL came in two months later and now with 8,400 kilometers on it I am trading it in on the Tremor .

i was fortunate enough to scoop up a abandoned '23 Lariat Hybrid Mav order for MSRP minus A-plan. it did not have everything on it that i would of ordered (no sunroof, no copilot 360 assist). so i ordered a '24 with all the options i wanted the 1st day the order bank for 24's opened up after the dealer promised me to give me EVERY penny i paid for this one back in trade in value for the '24 . for the dealer it's a 'cant lose situation' ; either he gets a hot low mileage trade in or he has a sweet new '24 to sell that doesnt count against his limited dealer allocations.

am i alone in owning one yet ordering another one anyway? it seems to me almost unheard of for so many folks that already own a vehicle to then proceed to order the next one immediately. is this just a Mav thing?

Yep, I'm in the line up. Own a 22 XLT Hybrid and quite happy about it. But, in the hopes of getting past the unsettled recalls and resetting the warranty period, I ordered a 24 Lariat on 17 July. The 22's value will still be holding strong I think for the foreseeable future (the strike may bolster that even further). On top of that I don't really care if it takes a year to take delivery. It's a nice position to be in.

I am - sort of - guilty of this too. I purchased a 22 XL Hybrid and didn't like the CVT and solid rear axle. I sold it when I ordered the 23 XLT EB AWD. I have other cars I can drive while I wait.

After driving my Maverick for four months, my son asked if we would help him buy one. I am the one who placed the order with a different dealer than the previous two were purchased from. Thus, I can say that I have another Maverick on order while I currently own one.

My son cannot afford my Maverick. And I determined I needed something with a bigger bed and more towing capacity. Thus, my 23 XLT EB AWD is in the marketplace for sale.

No, you are not alone. I placed an order in '22 for a '23. Meanwhile, I wanted to get rid of my GMC Canyon V6 - got more than I paid in 2016. Found a '22 Lariat 2.0 EB with sunroof on a lot - paid $1800 over sticker, have enjoyed it for one year and 8.5k miles, got a VIN for the roll-over 23 to 24 order, hybrid Lariat with sunroof. But I won't sell my '22 until I have my '24 in hand.

I originally ordered a '22 XLT but changed it to a Lariat 2-3 months later. If I hadn't made that change, I might have ordered a '23 Lariat. With the subsequent price increases, though, I'm glad I changed the '22 order.

I've got a 24 Lariat Hybrid in production this week. Also a 24 XLT ECO scheduled for the first week of December. Different dealers . If neither one makes me a deal, I'll keep my 22 Hybrid. I had a 22 ECO that gave me 30MPG. My current Hybrid does 38MPG actual not what the computer says.
