XL bed cubby install -- step by step DIY writeup with pics

Parts counter at the dealer had my bed cubby that I ordered months ago! Decided to document the 10 minute install.

As unboxed

Remove cover bolts

Remove lower tie down

Slide in box

The 2 extra holes on mine had line x in them so I ran a tap

Insert and tighten bolts

Insert divider

Cover

Done

Driver side was done a few months ago

so did you only need a single part number (other than bolts and what not)? I really want this on my XL as well and just want to be clear on it. Thx in advance

Single p/n for the cubby assembly and a single p/n for 4 bolts. You need 2 of the 4 bolts because you already have 4. The extra 2 bolts you can save for doing the other side.
Invoice is about $50. I paid with my skeeball tickets (FordPass points)

M6x20mm (1.0mm pitch which is pretty standard for an M6 bolt)

Thank you. If I was writing the installation, I would write exactly what you did, but I would write I had to go back to my tool box 10 times to get the correct size tools.
