What would be nice is if the various rims/tire sizes were optional for all trims vs having it tied to a package. The rims I would prefer are the 17" blacked out ones. (AWD ecoboost only ifnI remember right). I had my choice of two different 18" ones, that are very similar, for the hybrid lariat.

I likely won't pay to replace them since I'll be spending my accessories budget on a hard roll, but a choice would have been nice.

If you go places with sharp rocks the 17‘s will more likely to get you home because of the stronger sidewalls.

Thr bigger the rim the less sidewall a tire has meaning less flex worse cornering. Low pro tires you feel every Crack on the road with more sidewall it softens the ride. Off road more sidewall is better you can lower the pressure more you get more grip. So if your doing race tracks low pro tires better option off road bigger sidewall. The diameter of the tire can be the same with diffrent sizes thr maverick is 225 65 r17 the option tire size is 235 65 r17. So 225 is width 235 is wider. The 65 is how big the tire is in roundness the r17 is the rim size. So a 225 65 r18 would be same width same diameter bigger rim and less sidewall

Meh. I had a Ram with 20s and the stock Goodyears could be had for under $100 each.
Wow take another hit dude, used tires maybe… I’ve had 20s for 15 years and never found anything cheaper than 200 bucks… links?
