Will you notice better traction in the snow?
Will you hear a difference in road noise on the highway?
Will you feel a difference in comfort over bumps in the road such as potholes?
Will you notice a difference in fuel economy?

Trying to understand why one would choose bigger wheels other than for aesthetics. FYI, I went with the XLT Hybrid Black Appearance Package (with the 18" wheels)

Stop trying to understand. Unless the bigger wheels are needed to clear some bigger brake rotors, you won't notice any difference. Road noise and comfort over bumps will likely be worse with the larger wheels, although it's unlikely you'd notice. It's purely aesthetics.

MPGs will probably be slightly impacted too eh?

I suppose I'm just very excited and like most others starting to over analyze after the order has been made.

I'm not going to look it up, but I assume the total area and weight of 17" and 18" stock wheels+tires options are really close. Like all other factors, there may be a measurable difference, but unlikely you'd notice.

There is a sticky thread about the dimensions. Did the same when my local tire place pointed me to wheel site that did not have the 18". Talk with a guy, first name Ford, that told me the 17 inch rims would be better for the snow and think they look pretty good.. Did get a good deal with Italian made rims, originally designed by BMW in 1997 and is a Tire Rack brand, 4 Blizzacks Snow and Ice tires, and 20 nuts and one thin wall nut socket. Later called and got a torch wrench and he through in the 17mm, 3/4" think wall socket and free shipping.

Here are the the size difference and is 0.1". https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...-pattern-center-bore-thread-size-weight.1666/

With 6.25% sales tax and subtracting the $100 visa rebate card paid $1,318. That priced included 4 TPM, which he told me come from the same manufacturer Ford uses but would not have the same part number on them. My local dealer wanted $60 per TPM and they charged $27 each plus tax.
