Did they change the sound system with the 2025s?

I had a 2023 Lariat Tremor and was extremely disappointed in the B&O system, and added a small sub and amp, which helped tremendously. Couldn't even imagine how bad the "base" system sounded like.

I now have a 2025 Tremor, and already had an appointment to add the same amp and sub, but I think I'm going to cancel it now and save the money because the new system sounds A LOT better to me. Still could be a little louder, but it's not worth it to me to mess with the wiring and storage space now, I feel.

Anyone else notice this, or am I trippin' ?
Not sure about the 25s, but I was/am disappointed in the B & O system in my 22 Lariat as compared to my 2019 Edge. Comparatively, the sound from the back is nearly non-existant as the front center speaker seems to be the dominant one.

I have a 24 Eco Lariat and the stereo is garbage. It is by far the worst car stereo I have ever had. It is the only thing I hate about the vehicle. I hate that I can't just swap out the head unit and speakers. It is very annoying that I have to get a DSP to unbork the signal and rewire everything and then I'll still have that garbage head unit with a wireless Android Auto adapter.
It is not a great system, but definitely not the worst car stereo ever. Should have heard the factory one in my 63 Chevy longbed.

one speaker in the dash? LOL

but I am not surprised the 2019 Edge had a better sound system.

I've had 60s cars. The stereos were very easy to upgrade. I wouldn't complain about the stereo in the Maverick if I could easily upgrade it.

It is definitely not an easy/cheap upgrade to integrate into the factory system. I miss the days of swapping out a head unit and being able to just add amplifiers from there.
