So, my memory is pretty good about some things, and not so good about other things. I thought my start button was much more level to the housing a few months ago, but I just noticed that it feels like the travel is a lot shallower when I press it now, and the button seems a lot more recessed into the dash. Or is this one of those things I have a bad memory for. Is this normal (see picture)?

Spray some silicon spray in there and press a couple of times without the key around.
Maybe that will loosen it up. Had that happen with plastic buttons and connections at work.

My "button" is recessed just like in your picture. So, if two like this makes it normal, I do not know.
I have a few years in the age category; I call it AMMS. Advanced Middle-age Memory Syndrome. :teehee:

IMO, if it ain't broke, do not fix it!!!!!!!!!!

NO.
Here's a picture picture of the push to start button in a brand new 2025.
Looks the same.

kind of looks the same but hard to tell since it's straight on instead of from the side. But I'll trust your judgement. Thanks! :)

I eat two brazil nuts daily (high selenium plus other things) which helps my short term memory.

As long as it lasts long enough that your short term memory remembers the last "dose" . . .

I recall coming across cranks years ago claiming that ADHD medications were "addictive".

Uhm . . . the primary failure for most of them is people forgetting to take them! Being mildly addictive would make them more effective (but they're not).

Memory starts fading on 3-4 days of missing the Brazil's. Also when I wake up in am if I do not remember dreaming during during the night I know that I've missed couple days taking Brazil's.
