Delete of this recirculation hose??

Does anyone know how and if this hose can be removed? There is an electrical connector on the valve/solenoid thing. There are pictures of it gone on some mavericks.

One of them will be your charcoal canister output, and the other will be your PCV output. Neither one is safe to delete without reprogramming the fuel/air curves. Maybe a better question is why you feel the need to remove well-designed components...

You remove it by pulling it off, I'm sure it can be done. The better question is should you and the answer is almost certainly no.

I think it looks so much better, gone. Just don't know what it took for others to remove it.

A quick picture survey seems it tends to be absent on Lariats which'd suggest to me it's related to the brake boost; EcoBoost Lariats with ACC have electric boosters.

Edit: Yeah, it's a shutoff valve for part of the booster vacuum tubing

I was thinking of removing the engine because it would be nice looking underneath the hood and not seeing anything

Maybe this is why so many people are spending time and money putting engine covers BACK on these engines!
If it is a thing do you at cars and coffee to show off a NEW mini trucks engine compartment I say go for it .For me I just keep the hood closed , mainly cause the engine is covered with dirt and mud all the time from the silt beds, sand washes of our deserts and mountain puddles of the fire roads I love to beat it through.
I would go for the ford performance cover someone found in Europe , that one looks the best I think.
But that valve to the left IS necessary .
The other tube is just smog recirc , but may cause trouble code if blocked off .

Just may be the number 1 reason. Thanks for your comment. Guess a lot of people don't care for esthetics. I love the comments on here from the Hybrid owners. I don't remember posting under the Hybrid 2.5 power train section. Except for Darnon and Oscarcat, much respect for them.
