Make sure your temp dial is turned to the right for heat. Mine works great.

Now that we're experiencing sub -20 temps, I am highly disappointed with Ford's HVAC. '24 Mav & '22 Escape, both are equally shite in regards to a balance of cabin comfort/window defrost. Defrost ONLY to maintain visibility, means cold feet on a lengthy drive.
My numerous Chev pickups, Ridgeline, & the wife's Mazda5 didn't have this major problem! Even my '07 Goat (Ram) was better than this. We could run defrost & the floor setting simultaneously to maintain comfort & visibility without compromise at -20.
