I know this has been asked before but, I now am getting the deep sleep mode on my ford pass.
4700 miles and built February 2022. Dealer hasn’t had any other hybrids come in with this issue.
Said to take for a long drive.
I do only drive about 15 miles a day round town.
Also it’s been in the 20 to 30 degrees at night.
Im I headed to the dreaded dead battery?
Thanks in advance.

I recommend double checking that no extra accessories are plugged in. On my hybrid, I've had the message before due to leaving the accessory switch that I installed in the bed on and when I've left the OBDii adapter plugged in. I hope it's not the cable for you!

Did you have a harness recall to the battery?

I receive that message with no issues. No performance issues, no starting issues, just informs me it is going into Deep Sleep Mode. So far, So good.

Thank you for your reply,. So sounds like I want dealer to replace battery%?
The dealer told me that It seems that any time your Hybrid sits for a long time without being driven is when this problem can arise. But driving it should make it go away. Mine didn't go away.

IMO, I think maybe the majority of our battery problems have been the result of a bad batch of batterys during the manufacturing process that are too far gone to charge all the way once the customer gets their truck and is trying to charge and work normally, but the electronics can't perform properly because the battery is weak and can't charge all the way to satisfy the computers.

My Maverick Hybrid has been working perfectly since I got it back from the dealer a month ago with a New Battery. It's just the normal Ford FMC battery that came with the truck originally.

I can say that when I was having the majority of problems, it was maybe because just after the purchase of my Maverick it was Summer in Califorina and 90 to 100 degrees. The Fan and AC were on High most of the time and I didn't drive very many miles which was sucking the life out of the small 12 volt battery the Hybrid is equipped with.

If we choose to use all the cool USB power plugins in the Cab and 12 volt Power Cable bed accessories, what is that going to do to the Poor Little 12 volt Battery? I haven't asked anyone this question yet. Keep in mind this question is Hybrid specific only because the EcoBoost is an ICE engine and has an Alernator for charging the 12 volt battery.

Who knows, maybe I will have the problem again next summer or maybe If I put in my bed LED's

Same problem here! Been in contact with the Ford rep here on the forum who connected me with CSA agent They told me to take it dealer but they found nothing wrong. Recently contact the CSA who suggested that the service manager st my local dealer will be go to source for fix availability……
So it looks like I’ll need Santa to bring me a jump pack for Christmas so I don’t get stranded!

Everyone needs to have a Fully Charged Jump Pack in their trunk! You won't need jumper cables to hook to someone else to get yourself started. But Everyone should have a set of Jumper Cables for a backup, Just In Case.

It’s been cold were I live recently , that’s when I started getting the alerts on the ford pass. And I don’t drive very many miles . But I take for a 20 or so mile drive I don’t get an alert for 2 or three days

Agreed! Already have it in the Mav but I stole it from my Camaro so I need to replace it. Thus the call out to Santa. 😊
