Have the dealer call Ford on speaker phone with you present. If they won't do that, it seems pretty telling.Yeah I’m really hitting myself in the head for not getting close and checking the VIN that night. I was just trusting that they would do right by me.
I will be going to the dealership to talk to someone in person about this, cause it’s major BS.
I asked the sales guy if they sold it and he said no no we can’t because it a reservation. Maybe that’s the goal, for me to walk away and they can sell it with a markup.
You're right. 2 months! My math needs some work. LolTwo months ago. Seriously taking him for a fool.
I better not see them have any new vehicle allocations for MY23s. We'll know if that ford memo to dealers was all bark and no bite.Yes, and according to the Gary Yeomans Ford - Daytona Beach website, it appears that the salesman and sales manager are still employed there. Business as usual...
This situation is WAY worse. That was a salesman saying they'd sell a car to her, but selling it to someone else. Neither had ordered it. Still super sketchy, of course.A similar situation happened to @GreenLady when a dealership said it was "damaged beyond repair" but actually sold it to someone else.
Special Order...plain as day.FWIW...
here is the window sticker. the order number was 1028, the dealer number / order code is 72404

Reddit post is also getting traction and someone has come back with additional contact info that could be useful to you:I submitted my complaint to Ford Corporate and they have opened up a case. The operator told me it goes up to her superiors and then the regional managers. Added my phone number so if they need more information they can call me back.
If there was ever a situation where this board should come together to bombard a dealership with negative reviews and find other means to make their business miserable, this is it. I get a good chuckle out of the "scumbag dealership" threads, where posters flip out because a random dealership is completely upfront that they are charging significant ADM, but this dealership should not have the opportunity to do this to another consumer and OP should be compensated in some manner. This situation is WAY worse. This one was his actual order which he'd waited months for and put down a deposit!
I agree. Looked at the Google reviews for this dealership and see very few bad right now. I wonder if it's allowed to post a link to this thread. If there was ever a situation where this board should come together to bombard a dealership with negative reviews and find other means to make their business miserable, this is it. Reviews get screened before posting. 1-star reviews from obvious non-customers are not typically posted or are removed quickly if the dealer asks for it.I agree. Looked at the Google reviews for this dealership and see very few bad right now. I wonder if it's allowed to post a link to this thread.
Thank you for posting the Window Sticker. I understand that you spent money on getting it and I appreciate the support.FWIW...
