It's not that confusing. It says "cold" right on the door sticker. This always confused me does Ford want the tires at 35 after warming up, if you set tires at 35 cold their going to be 37/38 after driving a while sometimes after 10/15 min, if that's the case the Tech that set your tires at 33 was correct. I was having MPG problems was advised by a tech on the channel to raise my tire pressure, I set my tires at 39 WARM, for the first time I was getting 40 and more MPG.

For the record, I usually set my tires to 39 psi WARM and it works out fine. I like to go a little beyond 35 cold because the 17" tires are not too punishing on ride quality. I just got back from a 1,500 mile round trip, and they eventually maxed out at 44 on a desert highway, which I was not too concerned about. After setting at 39 warm, I do not ever see much beyond 41-42 during normal summer commuting.
Ok, but if I showed up and said "I don't know where you people are getting your information, but proper chili has beans," I would also be correct, and it would also be confusing and completely irrelevant to the thread.I know. I simply replied to @piwtrnr that he was correct.
