This car is my first new car, but I've heard it's still common practice to do the first round of maintenance (at least oil change) much earlier, like 1-3k.
However, other threads have debated that the IOLM is accurate.
So, like the nerd that i am, I go to the manual, page 456 says go to some website for Scheduled maintenance intervals, once there and enter my VIN, and it appears to have nothing earlier than 10k and then below:

Am i missing something? I didnt realize my work commute was so long and ive alrdy put 900mi on my mav!
