My 2024 Hybrid Lariat had the deep sleep problem. I have had the ac module software update and it still happened. The dealer had me bring it in for a battery test which they had done twice before. This time the battery tested bad so they replaced it. The most noticeable thing that changed after replacement of the battery was the the fact that the 12 v outlet stayed on for 75 minutes after ignition shutoff. Since the 1st day I owned the truck this outlet would always shut off immediately with ignition shutoff. I am convinced the battery was bad from day one. It took them that long to prove it. The service manager did admit that the battery tester is not reliable in all cases. I was not happy with the 75 minute outlet timeout. A friend was able to change that setting to 1 minute. No deep sleep issues since the battery installation.

It isn't under warranty if there is a copay .
Probably wrong term.

Because an upgrade to the warranty replacement will cost more.

Thanks have new one bought.
Yours was correct situation for that SSM.
You got the Battery Saver notice as the voltage was quickly dropping.
You should have gotten a Deep Sleep mode notice too on the next voltage level down - but battery was probably dropping faster and never got the modem connected to send it.

You might still get a free battery out of it along with the software upgrade.

While SSM does say intermittent battery drain - if you got it once, perhaps more prone to it now - it could happen again and causes unneeded wear on a new battery you buy.

If that was original battery - it probably already had issues - this new one really killed it, so jump start unlikely to help.

well the dealer is probably billing Ford for all of their 'investigations' so there's a lot of profit in this for them - Ford wouldn't be thrilled to find out they've been paying the dealer to hunt down electrical issues when in the end it's just some crappy battery tester that they rely on. Even the chain auto parts places have had reliable battery testers for the last 3 decades....

New battery didn
Did that let it soak overnight lights 5x etc. nothing battery read 3.4v put the charger back on and when it said full charge I had 3.4 volts. I ordered a AGM from Menard's
Update, the AGM that was suppose to fit didn't so I had Ford Towing take it to the Ford dealer here and their first report was battery kaput so they are replacing it along with Updates.

What battery?
Link to it if possible - or at least the Size listed on it. Who said it was supposed to fit?
Wondering if Hybrid wasn't specified - because indeed, the EB battery that is AGM won't fit the hybrid.
But the AGM's that do fit the hybrid - are usually listed on sites as not compatible because it's not the FLA battery size, AGM's usually have their own different size.

But glad you got your warranty battery and the ACCM update.
Now - you could have had one of the other battery drains kill it, but at least with battery disconnected all the computers got a full power cycle, and you may have gotten other software updates that weren't part of recalls - but useful.

Make sure you let the truck sit overnight locked.
They will do the Battery Sensor reset, but you need to do the BMS relearn by locking it.
In your manual.

States..."Does not fit 2024".
That is Amazon covering their liability. You got that message because the 2024 came with a wet cell battery as OEM equipment. The size of the battery that will fit the Maverick is H4 /Group 140R. You'll find larger batteries, but this is the size that will fit the Maverick without any modifications.

I bought the AMAZON UPlus brand AGM size H4. The site will say it doesn’t fit but it is the exact same size as the flooded battery. The mfg will send you an email after you order, tell them it fits based on the Maverick website and they will release the order. Easy to replace, hardest part is pulling out the plastic surrounding the battery. There are a few YouTube videos installing this exact battery. $140 and actually was on sale a couple of days ago. I replaced mine about a month ago on my 2022 .

FVP 48AGMG from Menards. Original battery is 9" long where as the new one is 11' long. They checked the listing before it left the store, I think the clerk couldn't read. The dealers bringing truck out tomorrow.

Yep - group 48 is the EB battery size.
Hybrid is given in post above.

Am I reading this all correct and my Lariat Hybrid built 6/23/25 will (does) have this problem? This won’t play well if it happens when wife driving somewhere alone.

Misread something.

Yours already as the AC Control Module upgraded software.
That could prevent 1 reason for an intermittent battery drain.

Yours already has a better AGM battery in it, to handle the micro-draws common in cars today. (like your ability to use a fob for remote lock/unlock, or keyless entry? - there ya go)

Yours has the same Battery Sensor and Battery Management System that will slowly but surely kill your battery quicker than in times past by undercharging, but sadly similar to some other makes/models today.

Carry a jump box - it's a good idea anyway, fits under the seat. Can help others without connecting your vehicles with cables.

My 2024 purchased on 12/31/24 came with a Motorcraft AGM.
7,200 miles, 8 months,
Never seen battery saver mode, not one glitch of any kind. It fits perfectly, Imagine that !
Just sayin.

What would you recommend for a plenty powerful, reliable jump box ?
