12000 miles on my 22 Lariat Hybrid. It's been a great little truck till April 14 when I came out of the local convenience store and it had no power to anything. Called the dealer and they told me to have it towed in. Contacted Ford and 3 towing companies later , after waiting for hours and after I got a ride home , someone towed it to the dealership. I hope they knew what they were doing as with no power you can't get it out of park. The service dept. said they might be able to look at it the following Monday or Tuesday. I called Monday and was told parts were on order and should be there Tuesday. No parts until Thursday but the service rep said it would be done Friday. I get a call Friday morning, The job is too big, 7hrs ?, and the table they use to put the hybrid battery on was in use and they didn't want to put the battery on the floor. Sounds like a wiring harness replacement. I guess I'll see Monday or Tuesday if I get my truck back. The service manager may get me a rental car Tuesday if it's not going to be done. Very nice of him after over a week without my truck. I was told there is a bulletin out from Ford to the dealers on this but no recall so Hybrid owners beware it may happen to you without warning. I hope this is the fix for sure as I have a 23 Hybrid Lariat on order. Maybe I should change that order to an ECO.

Sounds like things are not going well, but hopefully problem is solved in MY23's. I have 2 of them and no problem thus far. Seems like your dealer is being honest with you and wanting to do the job correctly, so you will be better off in the long run for the delay.

Hello
I have 2023 XLT Hybrid that I picked up 1 month ago - after 17 months of waiting - and I have a battery issue. Long story short - something is causing a major parasitic drain on my battery when my truck is parked. I drive 30-50 miles a day and live in southern California. In 5 weeks of ownership I've had 2 dead batteries that required a Noco Booster jump and multiple deep sleep notifications.

Just last week I had the dealership put in a new 12V battery and do all the updates that they said "could be" causing the drain. I drove it home and that night received 2 more deep sleep notifications.

Edit: I also reset the BMS (battery monitor system) this weekend as well, just as a precaution / piece of advice I've received from others on this forum

It's been 4 days and when I tested my battery with my voltage meter this morning (after about 16 hours of sitting) I measured 11.49V on my battery. No lights/no monitor came on but thankfully it DID start.

Now I am waiting for the next appointment available since clearly, something is wrong. What were you able to find out from talking to your dealership? I'm thinking now I may need the wiring harness issue addressed as well, but from what I've read on this site, even that doesn't seem to always address the issue. Fingers crossed this gets resolved soon for you, for me and for anyone else dealing with this bs.

Posts like this give me pause on my order, sometimes. I've not seen as many problems with a vehicle in a long time. I know it's a forum, so it's going to be everyone essentially complaining for the most part, but this still seems abnormally high.

I keep hoping these large issues slow down as my order gets closer to getting started, but they don't seem to.

Best of luck with the repair. Please keep us posted.

In a situation like this.......wouldn't the lemon law come into effect soon?

I have no idea. I really really hope it doesn't come to that. I love this truck. I don't even know what I would do if I had to get rid of it, it's not like I can go get a replacement easily.

Battery issue aside, this is my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. Super badass little weekend warrior.

However, I'm not going to accept a truck that everyday I have to worry about "will it start?"

Anyone have any similar input or ideas? Sigh.. 😔

2 weeks and I don't have my truck back. I was told the parts were there over a week ago. If I don't hear something by Monday I'll make a trip to the dealer Tuesday. I find I get better results face to face. It's too easy to BS someone over the phone. I hope they save the bad parts, I want to see what caused the problem..

I’ve been going through this since my truck was at 780 miles. I’m at 3200 now. The problem has improved greatly since I deleted ford pass and turned off all communication and auto updates. The dealer can find no power draw but the battery keeps slowly draining. I personally think it is a bad modem that stays on too long when looking for a signal from the truck. I also have a weak cell signal at my house. But who knows.

Got my Mavrick back Yesterday. All seems to be ok and the service manager assured me I won't have this problem again.

A couple weeks ago I made a couple changes to constraints on the 23 Mavrick I have on order. When I picked up my Mavrick yesterday I talked to the sales manager about maybe changing my one on order to gas. As it stands now none of my changes were made from weeks ago and I can't change to gas. I don't have a build date or vin number yet but he believes my order is somewhere in the line up of those to be built..
