1. I love the mode selector , sport, tow etc very cool .
2. Sound system bumps just fine so what people complaning about? Like how loud are people wanting it? Music sounds fine via Bluetooth on highway or city.
3.Plenty room , family easily fit. No USB port in the back...
4.Sport mode feels like baby mustang.
5. Breaks are little tight in sport mode first drive.

Overall im very happy with my purchase . Has everything I need as driver and all room ill ever need haul what im going haul. 5/5 for me.

I figured about the radio, too many people who like to call themselves audiophiles and such. Honestly I kind of write a person off when they call themselves anything that ends with a -phile. Weirdos.

Understandable. Truthfully replacing speakers isn't that bad nowadays with youtube folks documenting what to take apart, and plenty of posts on custom installs. Just like anything in life, if you value something you put money or time into getting it to where you are satisfied.

I'd me more interested in a blow off valve as far as sound goes. As this is coming from someone who sings with my wife every night before we go to bed. Im a music lover, not a audiophile with fancy speakers.

I sure cant wait for get sport mode back on my fx4 and rip it like a baby mustang! 250 hp would be a pretty well tuned SVO Fox body.

USB port in the back is easily resolved by getting a 12 volt USB adapter.

Glad you're are liking the new toy!

Sound quality has zero to do with how loud something plays.
My 10 year old KIA hybrid with base sound system. Sounds better than my Maverick.

Yes I'm an Audiophile. And can hear the difference in equipment, amps, speakers, CD players, Recording quality, you name it.
Listen to some music through a cheap set of ear buds and then listen to the same music through the Maverick.

You'll realize how muffled the sound is, with absolutely no foundation of the lower frequencies. Mid range and highs are subdued.

It's like going to the movies and they turn off the subwoofers.
You'll have no impact at all during the action scenes.

No difference than an golfer or fisherman. They know and feel the difference in golf clubs or fishing poles.

Can explain more since the sound quality sounds fine for me. Its not static or anything. I'm not to familiar with in depth sound quality . Just know its clear and sounds good to me..

It's really tough for me to explain. Seek out a mediocre pair of head phones. It will open your eyes and ears to what music can sound like through better equipment.

Also if you have a high end audio shop in your neck of the woods. It could be beneficial.

I was once like most people that didn't pay attention to such things. A good friend introduced me to it 20 plus years ago.
Once you hear what's supposed to be there. It's difficult to un-hear it.

You can go to websites like audiogon, audio circle and audio asylum and learn there's an entire world of equipment designed for you to hear what was always there.

My dealer sold my maverick at MSRP. Very friendly and knowledgable. Was able to get 0.9% APR intrest. With 13k down less than 300 truck payment a month for 36 months. My clunker fusion had few bumps and bruises and still got kelly book price 4.3k.

I respect that! I am thinking about putting Sport mode on mine when it arrives as well. I am going to take it easy for the first 500 miles then I am going to really test the truck on some nice roads.

Congrats on your new Mav!

1. It's cool, but I really think they just adjust the shift points and throttle response for the 8-speed auto. Is there anything else it adds?

2. The sound quality from the audio system can be improved dramatically just plugging my iPhone into the USB C port instead of using bluetooth (it's pretty terrible through BT). It's not about volume, it's about dynamic range, frequency response, clean headroom, etc. - the Mav doesn't have any of that, especially through BT. Music is very compressed, frequently distorts, and major details such as kick drums or cymbal crashes are muted or lost entirely under the nasally midrange. I suspect that it was tuned for talk radio or podcasts first and foremost.

Through the USB-C port, your phone acts as the "pre-amplifier" and can have a significant effect on the sound, which is why it will sound better (provided you have a somewhat decent or new-ish phone). The added "clean headroom" of the pre-amplifier means that it won't distort or "compress" as easily. I tune mine as follows: Treble - increase by 3 ticks, Middle - decrease by 1 tick, and Bass - leave at center.

I'm a music lover (rock and metal primarily), guitarist, and vocalist so this stuff is my jam. I'd consider myself something of an "audiophile" but I don't believe for one second that you have to spend a ton to get quality sound gear. The Mav's sound system is passable but nothing more... Which is fine, because that's not why I bought it. Still, I'm spoiled by the 12-speaker Sony system in my 2011 Ford Fusion...

It's interesting that you mentioned volume, because poor audio quality can find me turning up the volume more because my ears aren't hearing everything, and it's not until I've been listening for a few minutes that I realize that my ears are fatigued or hurting from the actual sound pressure.

3. The Mav has so much more space in the back seat than I ever would have thought. I was worried about getting a car seat in it but now I recognize that it probably has as much (or more!) room than my 2011 Fusion.

4. Baby? Just 20 years ago, the Ford Mustang GT put out about 260bhp to the rear wheels and did 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. The Maverick can beat that time with the 2.0L Ecoboost. Sure, it's not as fast as a 2022 Mustang, but you couldn't haul 4x8 sheets of plywood in any Mustang that I know of!

5. I didn't really try out the brakes in sport mode, don't really have a comment there.
