Sorry I was wrong about the speaker locations, it was the defroster vents that I see uncovered, not the tweeters, B&O dash system has a 4inch middle speaker and then the two tweeters located each corner near the window frame. I agree I will just need to adjust the balance to the front a bit to make up for the dash cover

It's supposed to help with the heat build up in the vehicle and help protect the dash from sun/heat damage. I like the reduction in reflection on the glass, but you need to pick a dark color without "sparkles" like some of the velour fabrics have. Keep the glass clean, as the plastic gas haze that builds up increases the reflections also.
Thank you

If the tweeters are covered, it will affect the sound. My dash cover leaves them mostly uncovered. In the 80's I replaced a lot, ok all, of my factory systems. The carpet over the speaker reduced the upper frequency ranges quite a bit, the mid's were not affected as much. I cut out the carpet back then.

The one I originally ordered and have seems to no longer be available. If I had to order now, I'd probably order this one as it looks to have enough openings over the speakers to not reduce the high frequencies:

No problem Jay.
It was rolled when I got it.
I unrolled mine put it on an ironing board and steamed flat it with a flower sack type towel over the top of it, so as not the scorch it.
Take your time with it.
I have never had to use any sticky tape or any velcro to keep it on my dashboard although. I do have the Mabett soft-touch dash tray. It helps hold it in place somewhat
Good luck

That does look nice and smooth, compared to other ones I’ve seen in person. Thanks to you, I also just ‘had’ to order the dash tray. 😉

I have this one for my 24 and the Amazon listing shows 2022, 2023, and 2024. I don't think the dash changed at all over those years.

Some of the reviews on Amazon say this may fades pretty bad. Has anyone had one long enough to experience that? I’m in AZ and it has been very hot. Last night was the first time I drove my new to me 24 in temps below 85 degrees and I noticed a significant reduction in dash noises. That leads me to assume that most of those noises are caused by plastic expansion. I have also experienced the sticky dash that I thought was from some protective chemicals the previous owner may have used. Now I know it’s pretty common. I don’t really like the look of dash covers but would really consider one just to cut down on the noises. Can anyone who bought one of these tell me if it did that?

I recommend looking into ceramic tint, including the front windshield as that is the largest surface. The lightest tint, highest VLT (visible light transmission), is barely noticeable and ceramic tint still blocks a significant amount of IR light which causes heat and fading. I did it on my Fusion, haven't got it on my Maverick yet, but I can tell I need to as even after driving for more than an hour I can still feel the heat coming off the windshield. If the AC doesn't have to work as hard, the cabin should be more comfortable and increase the MPG.

Jerry,
I have a different brand name...
Check out my post page 1 post #6 for more info.
I live in southern Nevada we've had 112° this year my truck is outside most of the time.
I haven't had any fading that I can see or prove. I haven't seen anyone else provide any side by side pictures to prove whether it Fades or not. Only a opinion.
Really we're talking about a $25 purchase not a $300 window tint.
This is the one I own.

I agree with "effNO50" the Ceramic Coating on the windshield. Cutting the heat.
I haven't done it on my Maverick, because I have a chip on the windshield and don't want to invest in the ceramic coating and then have to replace the windshield.

I did have ceramic on my Buick Encore it helps a LOT.

Good Luck,

Thank you. I am looking into the tinting. Since it is an AZ car it is tinted a little but not enough. AZ allows you to get to 33 percent on the front sides but I'm not sure about the windshield. I do know that they do not allow 100% of the windshield to be tinted, just so far down from the roof line.

Thank you. I believe most of these pads are probably made by the same manufacturer and branded with different names.

Absolutely
Same thing happens with bed covers.
I know the bed cover I have goes by several different brand names.
I'll bet they all come out of the same Factory in China.

There is a difference between the percentage of the surface they allow to be covered vs. the percentage of light transfer. Tint often gets confusing on the percentages, is it the amount of light blocked or allowed? 5% VLT (Visible Light Transmitted) is often referred to as Limo tint. It looks good, but is annoying at night, even on rear windows. I had it done on a car in the 90's. I had to turn off the headlights when backing up.

22% VLT is what my '24 Lariat has on the windows behind the front seats and 70% VLT on everything else including the windshield. I'll add just 70% to all the windows on my Maverick.
I had 30% / 70% VLT added to my Fusion on top of the factory 70% VLT tinted glass. When looking through 2 layers of glass on the front (side window through side window, or windshield through side window) you could tell there was tint. That was 70% VLT ceramic tint on top of 70% VLT factory tinted glass. But looking through just 1 layer it was barely perceptible.

I have had this in place since February of 24 and it has faded some. It is not as black as it once was and now has a black and gray color. But for about $25 it has protected the dash and might be time to buy a new one.

If you replace it I would like to see side by side comparisons.
If you have a current picture it'd be nice to see.
