I've only noticed the hood shaking whenever I run it through one of those automatic car washes. And it's the hinged end ... I would've expected the latched end but that seems to be pretty solid.

Also, it appears to be more prominent with a hood deflector.

What is the difference between the factory installed ones and these?

Pop your hood, and look up near the windshield on passenger and drivers side there is a square hole and these fit in perfectly. They pop right in and a few adjustments later problem solved
