CYBER ORANGE?? LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

Yeah the computer rendered color of Cyber Orange is very nice. In real life, it's very close to school bus. In the cyber orange club thread, I saw someone describe it as nacho cheese. I can't un-know that, haha.

Also, even if it's a metallic color, you can barely tell. I got to see it on a Bronco in morning sun. You have to be right up close to notice any metallic fleck. It looks much more like a flat glossy color.

All that being said, I think it kind of works on a Maverick. At least if you have the gray XLT wheels or black Fx4 wheels. I spotted a cyber orange Mav in the evening, near sunset, a few weeks ago, I was like hey that's kinda cool. Saw a cyber orange Ranger on the way to work the other morning and I'm like, hey that stands out.

At least it's not black! Or gray. Or white. Or Area 51. So don't despair that you're getting a cyber orange Mav. These small trucks are made for personality, so getting a bright color, even if it's not the shade of orange you hoped it would be, is gonna be a win in the long run.

The thing I would say about Cyber Orange is you have to see it in person, looks better on some Ford vehicles than other, looks great on a BS with the black roof.

Prepare to be disappointed. Cyber Orange looks like the bottom one. The paint code is "SB" which stands for School Bus. The only difference is it has a beautifully deep tri-coat metallic paint job. And you cannot change your color once you are scheduled for production.

I don't get the School Bus color hate, though, myself.

I love my Cyber Orange Maverick. I initially rejected ordering the orange color when I made my reservation because of the color shown in the Ford Online Builder. I dislike whatever shade of orange it renders. And I later saw Cyber Orange on a Ford Ranger and loved it and changed my Cactus Gray to Cyber Orange. And very happy with my choice. I’ve alway bought trucks based on price, mileage, and amenities and never gotten my favorite color. Now I finally get a brand new one and get to choose my favorite color, but instead of getting orange, I’m getting yellow. That’s my main gripe. And since I plan to keep it long term, I won’t be able to get my favorite color anytime soon.

I do like the yellow very much, but I might have preferred red.

I love the cyber orange. If you put something yellow next to it you will see orange. And not a school bus. Look at Canary yellow from Chevy big difference

IMO, hot pepper red is really the color you wanted if you're into orange. It's a very orangey-red.

I agree with your first point 100%.

To your 2nd point, the Ford pictures of the red Maverick LOOK orangey, but customer pictures look full on red. I’d probably be equally disappointed if I had ordered the orangey-red and gotten red.

In the end, I probably would have ordered the yellow if that’s what they had called it.

Man, I really like the color, looks good for sure, but then, I see a school bus and wonder,, are ya sure you like it? Am I the only one? All the options are great, makes it hard to decide.

I love it. I'm a fan of bright, shouty colours in a world where cars are all 50 shades of grey. One of my favourite cars of all time was a Skittle-orange Fiat 500, and 90% of that was the paint.

What I do not love is that it costs $550 extra. So I went with VB because as much as I love sticking out like a sore thumb, I'm also a cheap bastard.

They would and they did. School Bus Yellow, it's not the same as Cyber Orange.

Both are Ford Paint Code "SB". They are the same color. The only difference is the Metallic layer on top of the SB and under the clear coat. I've painted it.
