With a commonly failed part, we sometimes have some leeway with Ford not being that strict. But sometimes a particular dealership may be under the microscope and Ford may call back warranty parts for inspection. When Ford is being strict we may be a bit less likely to replace a part that's not currently bad. It Ford has a technical bulletin then we follow it. Not sure about the axle situation because we don't see as many axle problems as some places. Not sure why. Maybe becauseI’ve never had any dispute about it. Ford pays them for warranty work. They did have to order the parts once they put it in the rack and verified the issue so that meant a second visit but it was an hour once parts were in.
With an axle repair, it probably won't take long .I’m at 44k miles so I’m definitely inside the warranty. I’ve never dealt with warranty issues before. Will I need to fight them or will they know. Also do you know how long it took for yours to be repaired? Worried about no vehicle.
