Was there a set date one had to convert a 2022 order to 2023 in order for ford to send me the private offer? My first order was back on 11/15/21 For an XL. Then later, something before 2/28/22 I changed it to a XLT trim. The dealer then contacted me later to change it from a 2022 to a 2023 order though maybe that change took place after a Ford Cut off date for Private offers. I know both orders were confirmed by Ford.

Dealer as well as Ford don’t have an answer for me. On different forum site it was suggested I ask if my dealer put my order in the COVP system. If not entered there then maybe that is way I will not get the Private Offer.

My XLT hybrid is in transit to dealer now and will arrive within 10 to 15 days there about so figure since Ford has not record of one in the system for me nor the Dealer then I am just out of luck on that front.

When speaking to dealer today he said there was no Private Offer, Price protection nor incentive offer (if I recall correctly…it reimbuses the dealer for any price increase from 22 to 23 model vs the window stricker price (or maybe it is the built order sheet price the dealer creates that they havehe customer sign).

Did you get an email from Ford regarding the private offer? Would've been back in June.

I have to wonder how many of us on the forum ordered a 2022 buold to then have it rolled over into a 2023 build yet our dealers never entered the 2020 truck into the COVP system?
Maybe it is just a handful of us though if not seems a Poll on the forum could get some numbers. I will wait to call my dealer tomorrow mid-day to try to get answers as I emailed them earlier this week explaining not entering the truck in COVP is the only way (so far as I know) Ford would not send a Private Offer to us. Could be mistaken…

Key points:
- 2023 order will have 2023 pricing
- The private offer effectively offsets the price increase (more or less)
- A valid COVP was required on 2022 order to get a private offer
- The private offer was applied in Vincent and tied to the order number
- If the private offer was properly applied in Vincent, it will not expire

There are several points where this process could go wrong:
- No COVP on original order, or incorrect/rejected COVP (unfixable)
- Dealer did not keep the same 2022 order number on 2023 order (fixable)
- Some internal IT glitch or fat fingering along the way (only fixable if dealer pleads and regional rep agrees to fix it)

Best to call customer service with your order number to see what the situation is for your order. That will help determine the next step, if there is one.

I am still confused...sadly.
*Original Order Summary sheet for my XL hybrid done 11/15/21; order code M456, priority code 19
*Changed to a XLT hybrid on 12/17/21, emailed Order Summary sheet with same order code as prior and same priority code of 19
*Email from Ford on 3/19/21 on Order status. It has been ordered but not scheduled yet.
*Dealer sent me paperwork to sign 9/20/22, changing my order from a 2022 to a 2023, order stayed the same
*Ford email saying my order has been confirmed was received 9/20/2022

*Sales manager emailed me forms today. One showing my sales guy went into the COVP system, I infer on 9/20/22 with it showing my name, order date 9/20 and model plus tracking #.
Though it is a bit odd as it seems to show a date of 11/19/2013

*On 10/4/22 Ford sent, from retailorders (email address), to the dealer a form with a indicated Claim Status - Approved with a authorization number.

*My dealer, as of today, has not informed me (as yet) that the sales person entered my 2022 hybrid into the COVP system at some prior point in time.
*My 2023 is on the way to the dealer at this time.

I can go back to prior post and info sent from a user to me on this forum though bottom line below is what I need to know.
1. Was there communication from Ford, clear or not, to dealers that customer's 2022 hybrid order had to be entered into the COVP system? If so what was that communication and when was it sent to dealers? Plus when did it have to be done by the dealer?
2. If my dealer failed to put my 2022 into the COVP then does that mean I am screwed out of the Ford Private Offer?

I get confused as the Sales Mangers says he ever puts things into the COVP system. If it is done, it is the Sales person's job to do that step. Then when I said if it is not entered into the COVP does that mean it is not scheduled I believe he indicated that was not correct.

I also am getting confused between COVP/WBDO and ROVP.

In the End I don't even know I understand clearly what a dealer has to do in order for Ford to build my truck. I know they did but at a lost to sort out how/why my dealer might not have entered my 2022 order into the COVP.
thanks all

6-covp mike entered my 2023 order.jpg

Yes, Ford told dealers in June of 2021 (plus numerous reminders) that COVP approval was required in order to have 2022 Maverick schedule.

Yes, for 22 Maverick, Ford said that COVP (or ROVP approval was a requirement to be scheduled). When they announced the private offer, they said that it was tied to the COVP approval of the 22.

One new detail from your story that may have played a roll (if your 22 was indeed approved in COVP properly). "Changed to a XLT hybrid on 12/17/21". That may have caused an issue. Usually changing PEP (i.e. trim level) will cause your order submission date to change.... your updated order is now outside of the normal hybrid ordering time frame......

Did your dealer actually show you something w/ your info an approval number on that site? For your 22 Mav?

I can't say for sure if you are screwed. I work at my local Ford dealer. They put in an order for me in Jan 2022. It did not get built, ordered again in Sept. 2022. It is built and now enroute to my dealer. When I had them check on my private offer, since it didn't show up on my account, they realized the first order wasn't COVP approved. I can not tell you how all of that works, I just know that the COVP approval is proving it was an actual customer order, not an order the dealer put in to get more inventory on top of their allocation. My sales manager talked to their inventory specialist, told him they screwed up and were told there are lots of people in that same situation. He was told to file for an exception when I purchase the truck. The dealer should get the offer within 2-3 weeks, then the dealer will reimburse me. I don't like that because those are just words, as well as the money will not be taken off the sales price at the time of purchase. I'll just have to hope it works out in the end and I get that money back.

Thanks everyone, what a long strange trip this has been. Possible each of us could be a Sales person at a Dealer by the time we are through doubt any of us would want to after dealing with all this stuff.

I have email replied to m dealer sales manager just now. Again requesting if they put my 2022 order into COVP. A question they have yet to answer if I followed their communication to me correcty. I have also copied a bit of Tkistre text and included that in my reply should dealer finally find out and advise they failed to enter the 2022 order into COVP.
Time will tell, thanks again all and enjoy your Mavericks

ps. Guess, since my order was not placed until 11/15/21, and Ford started emailing dealers back in June 2021, that my sales guy dropped the ball and did not enter my order into COVP. Else if he did maybe it was too late to be included in the group that got private offers for builds converted from 22 to 23 models. Plus of course my changing from an XL to an XLT bulid might prevent me from getting the private offer.

@Truck2 Did you ever receive your transitional year rebate? I'm in a similar situation and been fighting with the dealer/Ford for 4 months now.

Thanks
