Curiosity here. Can you reach the rear window manual sliding window from the front drivers seat if you fully recline the drivers seat. I’m sitting here in my 1995 Chevrolet K1500 extended cab and I can reach the back window in it easily when reclined.

Yes I know I can get out of the seat and open it from the back. My question is to answer a curiosity. I’m surprised there’s no YouTube video on it.

I always thought if you get the moonroof, then your rear window should be powered, whether XLT or Lariat.

But then again, allot of people get moonroofs who don't want a rear slider. Odd to me... But everyone has their reasons.

That's the reason I didn't opt for one. I'm not crawling in the back seat every time I want to open and close the rear slider. No slider, no worries.

I'm 6'3" and cannot reach it safely while driving. I'd have to unbuckle, and turn around in the drivers seat to reach it. I got it for the rear passengers. It was cheap and easy to add when ordering the truck but hard and expensive to add after the fact. I really liked having it in my old Dodge Dakota. That only had 1 row of seats though so the driver could reach it. It won't see as much use on my Maverick.

Have not checked mine, but my guess is that you would need to be a center for a pro basketball team to have arms long enough to do that...just my guess.
I’m 6’1” and can reach and slide open while driving, although it hurts the shoulder a little because I’m at max arm stretch. I cannot close the window however because that angle is too painful as it requires more force at initial tug and it just hurts too much.

Can't reach. But I have power also- it's amazing how well opening that window adds a little fresh air without a ton of noise, even at 75mph.

You guys make my point. You would need to add from 8-12" to height and proportional lengths to arms to make it. From what the OP posted, he either is very tall or the the extended cab Chevy has far less room behind the front seats to the back of the cab.

Heck, I am just 5'10" so I couldn't make it to the seat

You must have missed this from the OP "if you fully recline the drivers seat". He's not wanting to do it while driving.

No, but I have my little nieces sitting back there and it's not a problem :)

It would have been nice to offer a power option for that window!!

I'm one of those oddballs. Moonroof but no rear slider. If it was powered, then i would have gotten it but the manual slider detracks from the rear view (yes the latch but also the whole rear window surround is there for the slider mechanism).
