Can You Reach Back To Open & Close The Optional Manual Sliding Rear Window?

So the XL & XLT trims of the Maverick have the add-on option for a rear sliding window opening, although it manual as you must open and close it by hand, were as the Lariat trim has a power sliding rear window included by default controlled by a button on the console controls.

For those of you who choose the optional manual sliding rear window opening on your XL & XLT Mavericks, are you able to reach back without moving out of the driver seat to open and close it? I just wonder if when driving or being stationary it's possible to reach back with an arms length without needing to unbuckle from the drivers seat.

It's got a full back seat, I'm thinking its to far away, unless you have very long arms and sit with the seat all the way back.

I have a window button to left I thought it was but it doesnt open the back window

That interesting question prompted a scientific investigation.

Conclusion: If I slide my seat all the way back and recline it then I can reach to where I think a sliding window might be if I had a sliding window.

P.S. I buy shirts with a 34" sleeve length, a length that fits well when I'm not hyperextending my arm.
P.P.S. I'm optimistic that ice will ease the pain, especially if floating in a glass of whiskey.

My Maverick does not have the sliding window (I don’t like them) but I Wanted to see if I could reach the back window where the slider would be and I absolutely can reach it, as long as I am in park and extend my body slightly. I am a bit on the tall side with long arms so I don’t know if the average person could do this, but I don’t know what average is.

Short answer: It depends.

Long answer: I am 6ft with a reach of most six-footers. If I slide my seat all the way back and do a "standing-reach" of sorts, I can reach the slider. I would bet this maneuver to be a challenge for most and impossible for some.

it wasn’t hard for me, but I am 6’4 with a 6’7 wingspan
