I am not having any success with the CSX help line. It refuses to recognize my 'T'. The automated attendant is hearing 'J'. Any idea how I should pronounce letters? It also doesn't work if I try to type the letters.
Trying to track TTGX982375 headed for Columbia SC. Any help appreciated. Thx
There are websites where you can have text read aloud in various voices/accents. You could hold the phone up to the computer speaker and have a robot talk to a robot.

Here is one of them: https://www.naturalreaders.com/online/

Try entering it on your keypad so like the tTGX is 81814192 - then it’ll ask you for the numbers , then after that press ## and it’ll give you your location

NS drops the G in the reply for some reason, but should still track if they scanned it.
I would try both UP and CSX. I had a similar thing where CSX said St. Louis for a day or two, then "Return to rail", which is when NSX picked it up, then NSX said "Scanned at Atherton" and stopped updating. Checked UP, it had something that sounded like " Departed - Port of Industry, CD terminal, no parking information". Thats when I tried CSX again which gives me the current status.
I’ve noticed that UP cuts me off when saying my number. Like it doesn’t accept that many numbers lol

Seems like it got switched to UP. Called there and it sounds like it’s going to sit in St Louis till the 11th at 6:50 pm and then depart

@paneubert - Great idea. I'll give the robot to robot a try. Whatever happened to human to human?

@StinDaMin - I have tried typing the letters / numbers. Nothing is recognized. My phone is not the problem because it works everywhere else for automated attendants.

StinDaMin - Thanks for the update. After 550 days, what's another 3 weeks? But, I'm trying to check everyday to make sure it doesn't get sold out from underneath me.

Mine has been.. interesting.
Originally scheduled at Dixiana Monday at 2:00...
Then it left Louisville, KY with an updated ETA at Dixiana of Tuesday at 2:00.
I check today and.. its 'constructively placed' just outside the Dixiana railyard as of 3:00 AM this morning.

"Constructively Placed" was mentioned on one of the Bronco forums that this is the term where the car is disconnected from a regular train and is waiting to be unloaded. Not bad for an ETA of 5/20-6/2.

Mine is with UP now and it’s horrible trying to track it. It never tells me location so I have no clue where it is.

I just called to check on your railcar number you posted previously. TTGX981063.
CSX reports it as Departed for Walbridge, OH this morning at 9:08 AM.

It didn't give an ETA. NS still reports from last month in Phoenix, AZ, and UP simply says departure. (date/time, placed at industry/CD Industrial) with no city name. I did get a similar message from UP when mine was in St. Louis, so I wonder if that means it just changed carriers. Either way, looks like CSX has current info and its getting closer. If its anything like mine, I'd check again tomorrow afternoon to see if it passed through another checkpoint on the way or ended up arriving early.

Oh interesting!! I didn’t know that it was with CSX still. I tried it the other day and it said “railcart offloaded” or something to that nature. Cool! Thanks for the info . It’s going to Ramp R4AG which is in Wayne Michigan. Which is about an hour north of Walbridge. Ford still showing 06/20 as my arrival. Hoping to get it sooner

Mine moved out of "constructively placed in Cayce, SC" to "departed for Dixiana, SC" at 6:45 PM. Cayce is literally next door to Dixiana, so I suspect it will get unloaded in the next few hours.

Now the question is.. how long will it take for United Road to get it on a hauler to my dealership.

Do you know average timeframe for that?

Cant' say I know the average, but a lot of things factor in how long it takes:
1. How many cars unloaded and waiting already - Most work on a first in/first out model, so if there are a lot of other vehicles waiting when yours is unloaded, it adds to the time it takes to get yours on a hauler.

2. Available trucks/certified drivers also impact how fast they move out of the yard. In my case, Dixiana serves 3 states and they tend to have drivers ready to go first thing Monday morning.

3. In some cases, they wait until they have a full hauler for a single dealership rather than have vehicles for 2 or more on the same hauler. This can also slow things down tremendously. The one thing that can help is if your dealership already has vehicles waiting and yours gives them enough to justify sending a hauler out right away in cases like these, or if you are lucky to have yours end up on a split-load hauler that does stop at 2 or more dealerships.
