TIP: How to enter TTGX into CSX rail tracking by phone.

Took me forever to figure this out. Maybe it will help others here. Step 3 translated TTGX so you can enter it.

Remember do not stay on to talk with a person.

1. Call CSX: 1-800-235-2352

2. The first voice prompt: enter 1#.
(for location)

3. Enter Letter code. TTGX becomes
81814192 #

4. Then enter the number part of you rail car ID.
And then enter #

5. At the next voice prompt enter ## (same as saying "done")

Listen for the location information.

When done, hang up.

My dealer can’t find the rail letters/numbers……where are they supposed to look to get it?

I asked my salesman to send me photo of the "Visibility Report.". If your vehicle has shipped, it will have the rail car info. Fwiw, my railcar # starts with TTGX

The Ford chat might (but very unlikely) be able to give you that info. Usually not but I've heard exceptions.

quick question. when the truck moved from RAIL to one of those auto transporters, were you able to track that transfer, and if so, how? thanks.

That last part I was not able to do. There used to be a way but it went away at the start of 2022.

I did ask on Ford chat a couple of times. No luck. Best I could determine was that the dealer might be able to track it
