Over the years I have tried every window cleaning product out there in a effort to get the oily film off of the inside of my vehicles windows and the road oil and grime off of the outside. I have tried commercial products as well as multiple home remedies. Nothing has worked. Until now. After spending a few hours unsuccessfully trying to clean my Mavericks windows I finally looked at all of the products in my garage and saw this. I usually use it to get scale out of sinks and toilets, never for cleaning glass. But, what the hell, I gave it a try. The results were almost a miracle. I used rubber gloves and put the product, sparingly, on a paper towel so I wouldn't get any drips. A little bit goes a long way. Once I applied it, with some vigorous rubbing, and several dry paper towels polishing it, the windows came out crystal clear. So, clear it looks like they aren't there. I did get some small smears onto the plastics inside the cab but they wiped right up and did not seem to have any affect (effect?). Question is, will long term use of this product have any potential issues?

Nice. I typically rub my windshield with 2000 flushes once a month. Keeps it clean and gives it a blue tint, too.

It contains 20% hydrochloric acid, but it also has an acid inhibitor added, so maybe it won't cause pitting in the glass. I really didn't pay that close attention in chemistry. It has chlorine in it, too. Probably wouldn't be too good for the rubber and it could potentially cause damage if it gets on the dash. Personally, I'd keep looking.

That will definitely get the ring off the outer edge and any debris that may be stuck 😭😭

I am less worried about the glass than I am anything in the vehicle interior you might accidentally spill it on. It sounds like you are being cautious, but most fabrics/carpets are not going to enjoy a spritz of that. For me, the risk would be too great. I'd also shy away from using that in such a confined space. On the positive side, I bet your Maverick smells cleeeeean.

I believe you when you say it works, but you are essentially using a military-grade flamethrower to accomplish light household dusting. :)

Interesting.
Invisible Glass has worked well for me on the Maverick windows except
the tinted rears.

I don't know why it is but those back tinted windows always look like they have
leftover water spots.

I am wondering if it is the dye in the glass itself ...but still .....
Toilet bowl cleaner ingredients seem too harsh.

Sprayway glass cleaner, Zep foaming glass cleaner or if I run out of those, Invisible Glass as third choice.
Sprayway has a very high percentage of alcohol so it cuts right through any grunge or haze and leaves the car smelling better than the other two.

My goto window cleaner has always been Clindo.

Just spray the foam on and let it sit for a while. Then wet cloth rub it around to clean most of it. Then use clean wet rag to get it completely clear. This stuff works great and was recommended to me by a SafeLite tech that it's the name brand of the commercial version he used.

I think Walmart sells it, but I bought a bottle at a truck stop years ago and it lasts for quite a while. It's like $7-8 when i got it so not cheap compared to most glass cleaners that are basically scented/dyed water.

EDIT ---

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Diesel-Power-HA51420-Clindo-All-Purpose-Cleaner-19-oz/54596028

Oooph, just saw the listing on Walmart.com. It's $12.10 there but calls itself "Diesel Power" so not sure if it's the same or upgraded, but it's the same # (51420) that the one I have shows. It's still worth it. The bottle lasts a long time. I think my first bottle lasted four years of semi-regular use.

Hello,
I had the exact same problem with the tinted windows front and rear. Always looked like left of water streaks or something. I used Adams Water Spot Remover and it took it all of now perfectly clear. Good Luck 🤞

With my last few vehicles I use a slightly damp microfiber cloth and it works very well for me. I just did it yesterday.

Invisible Glass and a microfiber towel. It works. Paper towels smear the dirt back on the glass, the microfiber towel picks up the dirt.
