I also ordered the Leer when it was 399. The same price on Leer's website and Amazon.
I also got the cancellation letter, which was a real letdown thinking it was on its way.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise...
I wanted and needed a tonneau, but at more than a grand in price, it was difficult to justify.
Going back on the hunt I decided to chance one of the oddly named chinese offerings, comforted by the knowledge that the Leer was also a chinese manufactured tonneau.
I ordered a tri fold hard copy from Xprite for 317. bucks delivered.
The difference that I can find is the mounting hardware and the fact it does not fold up the last section to expose all of the bed space (but if needed, I can remove the entire tonneau in less than 5 minutes)
I install it by myself in 40 minutes. It took almost as long to break down and discard the packing material if shipped in (with no damage by the way)
Washing the Maverick after install revealed a couple tablespoons worth of water leakage.
I feel quite satisfied with it, especially having saved about 800. bucks.
