Hello,

Just got my 2024 Maverick Hybrid Lariat Edition! Super Excited, not even 200 miles yet.

I am looking into getting a bed cover for my new truck and after a little research I think I may get the Rough Country Tri-Fold bed cover. Mainly because it folds all the way up so it won't limit bed space in the already short bed.

https://www.roughcountry.com/product/ford-flip-up-bed-cover-49254500

Has anyone had experience with this bed cover? It comes in it $750, seems on the mid range side for a hard bed cover that can fold.
Anything to report?
Does anyone know if Rough Country ever offers any discounts or discount codes? (haven't seen any)
Easy install?

I won't be folding up the bed cover super often as I live in the city, but I feel like if I want to fold it up, having it be able to fold it up all the way would be quite beneficial.

Thoughts?

Thanks a lot!

I’m eyeing the same cover. Looks promising!
Posted a similar thread a few weeks back. Nobody responded.

I have RC the one that does not flip up to the window. It was $585. Takes 2 minutes to remove if I ever need the full bed. Easy to install. Try panda they are a sponsor on here.

Thanks lawsonland

I like that Idea of just taking the whole thing off in the rare occasion I actually need to. I can honestly see myself not liking it at all when it is flipped up and blocking the rear window, It would just annoy me.

I think I will take your advice and go with the one that doesn't flip up.. Lowest price I can seem to find on Panda using a 5% code I found on their forum is $617. Seems not bad (Tri-Fold RC Low Profile )

Would love to get it a little cheaper, but might just have to pull the trigger hah!

Thanks again.

From my experience, I would think twice ordering from Panda MotorWorks. My cover ended up being on back order for a 5 weeks and here’s the kicker, they’ll charge you when the order is placed and not when it’s shipped. Apparently a few other users have complained about the same thing after I did a quick google search. I reached out to them and they said it’s standard practice for small shops like themself. I was going to cancel but there’s a %7 cancellation fee even though it’s back ordered. They seem sketchy. Fingers crossed on me actually getting the thing.

Amazon doesn't charge you until the items have been shipped either... They just usually ship faster lol

I understand how frustrating backordered parts are and understand the wait time you were not happy with but like any website we have policies listed by law for you to review and read. We even ask for you to agree you did so before checking out so there wouldn't be any surprises. Just to explain our cancelation admin fee, it is a fee we had to establish as a small business because banks stopped refunding transaction fees during covid and this fee directly covers that to protect the employees here.

We hope to have your bed cover out as quickly as Rough Country can get them back into stock!

If you would like to switch to a bed cover that is in stock, we would be more than happy to get that switch made!

Maybe if you didn't charge people until the item ships, you wouldn't incur any transaction fees associated with cancelled orders? 😬

Doesn't work like that unfortunately. That mindset is where small businesses like us have been hurt. We are not a billion dollar corporation like Amazon. Any smaller vendor is going to charge you as soon as you click buy

I ordered one in early February and it's still not shipped. Just got off the phone with RC and they're looking at an early April ship date. I'm not saying it's not a good cover (I wouldn't have ordered it) but I don't know what the holdup is on shipping it. I get an email about once each week, apologizing for the delay and promising to alert me when it ships, so I can't complain that they're ghosting me. I ordered the 47254500A - Hard Low Profile Bed Cover | 4'6" Bed | Ford Maverick 2WD/4WD (2022-2024).

PS: I used to work in Richmond VA for Fugro (Land) USA in nearby Henrico; cool city.

I got mine here https://reconrecovery.com/products/...nneau-cover-for-2022-24-ford-lightning-57-bed with a $25 off coupon

I like it. The cable to release the latches is super quick and convenient. Leaks a little. Slower, manual latches might be more secure, if that matters. Theif could prybar it open most likely, but probably the same with other ones, with a bit more effort.
Quick and easy to remove if you need full bed access.

For me, I bought the RC because it was the cheapest, hard tri-fold that would let me add Elevate TS rails later for a bed rack. Haven't had the need to add that, but like having the option. Also fits lower profile than ones that sit "on top" and wouldn't work with the rails.

I bought one RC tonneau hard tri-fold ( non- flip ) last year for my dad's Mavs 2023. It's very good and sturdy. It's like OEM Ford version that is low profile. I bought one for my Mavs 2024 since 2nd week of February but it's out of stock and the ETA delivery is on 2nd week of April 2024.

I don’t know where my thread is, lol, but I posted my Rough Country cover. I think it was $260. Folds in third. It works great. Easy to take all the way off if need be.
