I am here to URGE any and all people that have an order to contact your dealership. My dealer has 19 Maverick Hybrid orders, and only 10 of them have been COVP verified (I emailed and verified I was, even though I know they had my DL). THe others are noted as COVP Status "Not Submitted". I do not know if they are reaching out to prospective buyers or not, but with only 3 days remaining, better to be SAFE than sorry.
As much as it sucks, it is in people's interests who are waiting on an unscheduled order with proper COVP paperwork to hope for orders to be dropped. It only improves your odds.

That is very true, but I have a working vehicle and rates are currently high (ill probably finance half or so). If I don’t get a 2023 model I’ll go for a 2024 and continue to save up. I want a Mav, but I know thousands others do too. Plus I think I’m #1 on my dealers list, I was first one in on order bank in 2022, but I just want a highly constrained mode (XL+C360+Hitch+Bedliner)

I've preached the importance of this development on my Facebook page, where I have friends who reportedly ordered Mavericks and are still waiting.

The amount of hesitation and unwillingness to PUSH the dealer to give a customer a copy of their COVP approval is incredible. Why, after this 2 year long fiasco, would anyone just take a dealer's word they were "OK." But as the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water.....

Spoke with my dealer today and he verified that, yes, COVP was accomplished at time of order and he sent me a screen shot via text . Pretty impressive. They were aware of the notification from Ford. I want to thank the forum members who initiated this thread and others who have urged members to check with their dealers...

No screenshots, I can't force these dealers to do anything like that - they don't care. But in going to one of my two orders and emails and phone calls to the another, I got the COVP numbers (so they say).
One put in when I ordered in September and one put in just now, sigh.
When asked why didn't you put it in when I ordered they said "it wasn't required then". So they only do the absolute minimun required, nice.
But they are wildly different numbers - one is a 10 digit number beginning with 1000 and the other is a 7 digit number beginning 11.
What do your numbers look like? What is right?
I'm pretty sure one of these dealers is hosing me, I'm glad I ordered two - yeah I'm one of those guys and it's a good thing I did.
The one dealer said "Hey, I'm glad you called, we had you in the pile of COVPed orders but when I checked for the number - you wern't".
Wow.
Deadline tomorrow.
The crying begins next week.
- Robert

One thing I want to note. Allocations aren't necessarily the end all/be all. My order was unallocated yet got picked up after switching to an EB. That helped my bypass what are likely just hybrid orders left at my dealership.

It's amazing how popular this truck has been, especially on the hybrid side. I do feel that allocations should have been tossed to the wind and orders built on a FIFO model for the orders. For any constraints an email explaining why their order was passed over for a particular month and the opportunity to change it for the next scheduling cycle would be nice. But these are all processes that would have to be put in place and that does cost $ with little real return for Ford unless they have another sensation on their hands in the near future.

Then they ended that meeting where they discussed those options (and more) with "Let's just not do anything".
It is a paradox that if I switch my order to something I don't want at all I'd be more likely to get it.

I ordered Nov 16/23. Eco, 4K tow, rear window, lux, XLT. SWOntario. Small dealership. Was told at the time maybe MY23. I am curious what your dealer told you and what you ordered?

I sent my salesperson a text and asked him if the info he took and the conversation about the extra step needed was in fact for the COVP and if it was approved. He replied back that it was for the COVP and confirmed that my order was approved.
