Learned my lesson from the Maverick, never get a first year of production vehicle. 2026 or 2027, looks like a good window to switch back to Toyota.

I'm not entirely convinced that a significantly larger and nearly double the price truck is competition for the Maverick. It's a wholly different vehicle. Sure, if I was bathing in cash I'd buy one, but I didn't even consider a Taco as a reasonable option.

People keep saying this and it just isn’t true. They said a 3rd gen couldn’t be had without a markup either.

I bought a 23 under msrp out the door and am on a list at the same dealer for a 2024 or 2025 if I want to upgrade at MSRP. This same dealer sells RAV4 hybrids and others without markup too.

Deals exist. Dealers without markup exist.

More on topic though… Image looks great.

As for the new Tacoma.
Well congratulations Toyota, you successfully comined a GMC with a Nissan and dropped a steamy TRD. May an army of loyols broskis pay $24,000 over sticker for you with fakelock wheels, low profile tire, and a leveling kit. 2.5 miles after you test out your snorkel, I will offer to flat tow you home in my rusted out 91 comanche that goes eveywhere you can.

Looks good, though that’s certainly like 20k min above the sr5 I’d be able to afford.

Hopefully they address their aweful interior. Low grade door vinyl on our 17 buffed glossy just from me occasionally (and I do mean occasionally) setting my arm on the sill.

Don’t think I’d go back regardless as the sitting position bothered us after sometime. That said, the rumored Stout would be something I’d take a look at, depending.
