Has anyone else had the collision assist come with not a car in sight? I was approaching a well lit intersection, while the highway was dark and pretty empty of traffic. I have 2024 XLT hybrid. It scared the you know what out of me! lol!

Pedestrian one time. Another time , I wasn't paying attention and I did not apply enough pressure on the brake and I would've bumped the car in front of me.

Yes, broad daylight on an empty street. Just the one time in 20K miles.

Yup multiple times without having anyone in front of me. A few times passing mailboxes in my neighborhood doing 20 or less mph. Everytime it's come on not a chance of a collision, scared the shit out of me every damn time. I disabled it in Forscan.

It happened to me a couple of times when driving at first. One time, a car was making a right-hand turn and I got a little close and the warning went off, it did it a second time for another non-event. I changed the collision alert/avoidance sensitivity setting from high to medium in the vehicle settings menu. This fixed the false alerts.

I don't have FORScan. I just turned it off in menu settings.

I tried that first and it's still popped up time to time. That's what I disabled it.

For the warning system to turn itself back on, after you've turned it off in the menu settings. That's something that should be looked at by Ford.
Or at very least brought to their attention.

It definitely wasn't right, I disabled it in the IPC settings and it would still come on for no reason, scaring the shit out of me. That's when I broke out my laptop and opened Forscan.

So it actually really does work for pedestrians?

Be more careful--you almost hit Wonder Woman's plane!

You mean the "Hey lookout! You're driving in Pittsburgh and facing the sun!" alarm? Yes.

No idea how the blasted thing works, but I drive a lot of winding roads, and it seems to think cars in driveways are heading straight for me, especially whenever I'm facing into the sun. So about 1/4 of the time on my "fun" work commute route (over the hills for 17 minutes, as opposed to driving along the river 15 minutes), and occasionally in the various hillside neighborhoods in and surrounding my city. Panics the wife somewhat.
