What you can do is put a big piece of tall cardboard on the street and drive towards it. It should stop that’s what I did to see if mine worked
I THINK you have to PAINT a car on the cardboard. I saw that on some web page they were testing many makes of cars to see which worked best. Cardboard but had a car back side with taillights painted on cardboard. Then they ran at it and had cones setup to see if it did crash into it how far it would go past cardboard picture. They increased the speed faster and faster. I think the Subaru model won the test beating a Tesla. As the car went faster and faster they all eventually failed. I think 30 mph was the best the one could do. it would be an interesting test,. Who has some large cardboard?? lol

I have not tried my adaptive cruise control yet. Not a fan of cruise in general because mentally I want to remain engaged in driving.
That's exactly why I like adaptive cruise control. I regularly drive from southern Oregon down to the Bay Area and back. And not having to concentrate on keeping under the speed limit, and maintaining a good distance from the vehicles ahead of me, allows me to remain engaged, see the nut jobs doing 80 or 90 mph (or the CHP about to pounce on them) behind me long before they pass me, relax a little and just steer, and arrive a little less tired after a seven-hour slog on the Interstate. When I ordered my truck, it was a definite "must have." I will never buy a car without it.

I, too, am a big fan of the adaptive cruise control. I was unsure what to expect the first time I tried it, but after using it I was sold. (y)

Mine works almost to good. A few days ago there was a truck in the right turn. My truck decided he was in my lane and lit the cabin in red lights and hit the brakes. Luckily no vehicle was behind my 2022 hybrid.

Funny thing, I was wondering if mine was working today too. Someone slammed on their brakes in front of me this am and got no alerts, just a red display that I’m close to the car in front of me.

I don't even get the red alerts. I live in an apartment in the middle of the city, do the dartboard thing is out for me, but I wish I could try it. I'm probably going to have to make an appointment at my local ford and hope I can finally get thru. Then hope they actually test it.

Hi my collision assist has never come on. I got a hybrid lariat back in January and have had a few close calls and has never alerted me or assisted in stopping.
Has anyone experienced this issue. My other cars always beep and screen light up, this one hasn't.
Twice a homeless person ran in front of me that I had to slam the brakes and never even came on. Cars have cut me off or I have gotten close and never comes on. The acc works great, which I don't understand. I checked setting and have reset them multiple times. One of the reasons I got the lariat is for that reason. On my ascent it saved my wife from an accident but I don't trust this truck to do the same.
Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I be thinking there is a whole segment of Mavericks out there where pre collision assist is not working for whatever reason. Me included. Not sure if I even want it. Just curious why it does not work and if anything else is affected. On the plus side, my insurance company thinks it is working. :ROFLMAO:
