I'm not sure that "seize up" is the correct description. I've had them swell so much that you could no longer get a 13/16" (21mm) socket on them.

My local Discount Tire guy offered to hook me up with black lug nuts for $50ish. I thought about it, but ultimately decided I liked it the way it was.

I think I am in the camp of having the tire “professionals” sell and install the lug nuts. Although I am a big Amazon guy, when it comes to to safety stuff like lug nuts, not so much.

To me it’s worth the $50.00 for the peace of mind.

Cherokee suggested I keep the chrome ones, and after looking at more pictures the contrast may look better to me. Still pondering…

I am on the fence about the flares, could go either way… pondering.

When we ordered our Badlands about 4 years ago, Ford advertised the fender flares for $500, incl. installation.

The salesman, who had a very loose association with the truth and had lied to us about other things, told us that installation was NOT included and the amount was a mystery. He supposedly contacted the body shop and was given an "approximate" amount of $300 -- but said it could be even more since the body shop had never installed them before! Unbelievable.

He seemed to think we would go for it but instead we told him to delete the flares. That made him very sad -- to see all of that excess fraud generated cash just disappear...

Anyway, how much are the flares now? Does the price include installation?
