I’ve always used the tension rod method in all my Rangers over the years. Always worked perfectly! 👍

All of the running and marching cadence songs are still engrained in my head from my time in the Army from 1982-1993.
Hahaha! Yeah, those songs STAY in my head also. I am old marathon guy since my 20's and can still knock out a decent half. So, these songs play through my head when running.
I want to be an airborne ranger

airborne. ranger. ah ha, ah ah.
and so many more. I didn't want to be a ranger and did not want a life of danger! Our Basic training Company Commander was an airborne Ranger and loved to run. That part, fortunately was easy for me. Got me a nice 2:57 full marathon in 1987, Portland Marathon! ah ha Hoo ya!

I wanted to stop things from sliding forward in the bed on the drop in bed liner. I know about the 2x6 piece of wood but here's what I did. Amazon has black tension shower curtain rod. I can go up, down, forward or back with just a twist of the wrist. Better looking than a piece of wood and not limited to the slots.

Total cost $14.00.

I go back farther than that. Imagine shouting this cadence today?
"I don't know but I've been told, Eskimo ***** is mighty cold." We did back in the day and thought nothing of it. And don't get me started on, "Jody's got your girl at home..........".

Thats a great idea ! , I made mine out of 1x12 shelfing I had laying around wasn't as smart as you, even 2 of them would work, no cutting, measuring, painting. Way to go!

Oh yes, the “Jody Calls”. For all of you non-military, Jody is a fictional single male that doesn’t go in the Army and gets everything you left behind when you joined the Army, including your girlfriend, your wife, your house, your Cadillac, your dog, etc.
The Army is too “politically correct” now to sing about Jody, Old King Cole, The Prettiest Girl, and so on. Now they sing “Baby Shark”. Oh brother, things sure have changed!! Also, no more “Shark Attacks” in Basic Combat Training. Their “feelings” were being hurt and they were under stress, so they were getting “time out cards”. Give me a freakin’ break!!
