Cheap auto-dimming, homelink mirror

Can you provide more details in how you wired it up.

What are the RED and BLACK connectors shown?

Where are the wires for the Auto Dimming Mirror in the pictures?

I have the KIA Auto Dimming Mirror and would like to wire it up without running wires all the way to the fuse box.

Is there any wires in the black box behind the mirror to get +12 volts and Ground.

I only care that the power is ON when the Hybrid is ready.

You also need to pop down the dome light console to see the wires that I connected to. The mirror usually has 3 wires, constant, accessory and ground.
I connected the mirror constant and accessory together to the yellow/red stripe wire of the light console.
The ground wire I connected to wire on the opposite end of the yellow/red stripe...it's the wire on the end of the connector by itself

No, unless you try to claim your original mirror has a defect, of being not present lol.

Any issues from a botched wiring hack job might be on you though, but that’s kind of a separate issue from the mirror itself.

I ordered a mirror through Quirkparts for about $20 delivered. It arrived today and I thought the box was a little large and heavy for 1 mirror. Well they sent me 7 in error. I checked and they did only charge me for the 1. First thought was I could resell these to people here for even less but being the good guy I am I reached out Quirk letting them know they overshipped my order. If for some reason they don’t want them back I’ll let you know. They come with all the cabling , instructions etc…

I ordered the mirrors from mykiaparts about a week ago and the mirrors were shipped out eventually. It is still listed on the website with part number a7062-adup1 . The subject did not mention anything about homelink but the description does.

Sounds like you can definitely sell them. So just tell Quirk you would like to buy the overage and save the hassle of sending them back. Then sell away!
