Is it? ...and did they have a notice saying "Please provide VIN number or no parts shipped" when you ordered?
Go to your local KIa dealer they have them in stock

I just told Kia parts that it's going in a Ford, they said it's non-returnable, I said thank you. :)

Any concerns with running a dash cam AND the Kia mirror from the light wiring? I assume those are both going to be low enough power to not start any fires, but just checking.

Some of us found the light was not measuring a full 12v. Seems to be a PWM signal, meaning it is switching On and Off very fast; so it can dim the light.
Others have either not gotten that same measurement and/or just used it anyway.
There was not a resolution as to why some of us see different things. Maybe it is a Lariat vs non-Lariat, but not sure.
Multiple people have used the light power, with the mirror, without a problem.
I suggest you measure the voltage on your Mav, to make a decision. If you don’t have a solid 12v, I would not use it.

So what did I use? The power at the camera. I made cable, to stick between the current plug & camera, because I didn’t want to splice the factory wire and because there isn’t much room for taps. Some have just used taps, on the camera wiring.

Other people pulled power from the fuse box and ran wires up the A pillar.

Multiple options. Some people prefer one over the other. You have to pick your preference.

I am running my dashcam and the mirror off of a patchcord added in behind the cover on the windshield (between the Ford forward camera and its wiring).
@skyhawk built it a few weeks ago as he built his own and a couple extra and offered them in the group and I snagged one. Works great and there is no intrusion to the Ford wiring. The truck has to be turned on to use the garage opener as this solution does not use any "constant on" voltage.

Cool, I think that's a great idea!

Here's a picture of the connector. You can see there is a lot of room up in there for a 3"-4" patchcord with taps in it. The blue arrow is the connector, ignore the yellow..

My truck is a few months away. Placed an order for the mirror at the steal price of $21 shipped. Figured I’d snag it now just in case it goes out of stock or the sale expires by the time the truck arrives. Will be returning here for installation guides.

Does anyone know the pin size for the lights? The crimp on my purple wire was not done correctly and slipped out of the pin and it cannot be re-used. I've been to numerous places and no one seems to have it due to how small it is. Ford wants to sell me a portion of the harness and it doesnt seem worth it when I can just crimp a new pin on..

Thank you so much, you are a life saver!!

what are you using to crimp the pins on?
You’re welcome, glad to help.

As far as getting the pins on the wire, I just used needle nose pliers and a lot of patience. The official tool is way too much money.
Just make sure you get it to be narrower then the part that gets inserted into the connector, otherwise it won‘t slide it. Height needs to shorter than the part gets inserted as well, but that was not an issue for me. As an extra precaution, I put a drop of solder in it. Just make sure the pin is pointing up, so the solder doesn’t get into the pin, so the solder flows down towards the wire.

I haven't crimped these smaller Mini50 Molex terminals so far, just Molex MX150, and TE Connectivity Micro Quadlock (MQS .63mm).

Yes the official Molex and TE Connectivity crimper tools are too high a price.
MX50 $1,253.36 - Mouser
MX150 $486.24 - Mouser
MQS $209.55 - Mouser

The IWISS SN-28B crimper worked well with the MX150 .060" & MQS .63mm terminals. It crimps the wire & insulation in one step.

For the Mini50 terminals I'll look at using the Molex Field Service Tool 63811-1000 or a IWISS SN-2459.
