It's just a matter of pressing a button once or twice. How much simpler do you want it?
on 2025 there is no single button to push once or twice, it is now a menu option.

On my 2025 Lariat hybrid there are two buttons on the steering wheel. They move the mode selector left or right among the five modes.

on my eco boost I have to enter menu, then scroll down a few, then I can scroll sideways to select the mode.

Do you not have these two buttons?

So it doesn’t have the button on the center console on the 25s to change modes? If not that’s very inconvenient and a huge whiff to have to do that on the menu. Probably can be a little dangerous to fiddling with it while driving.

Thank you so much, this is what I have been looking for! I do have these 2 mode buttons. Mode on my 2017 F350 changes the mode on my stereo, or source, s I never messed with them on my Mav. You just eliminated my biggest complaint about my new truck!

So this is just a 25 thing? Don’t have it on my 24.

Yea apparently, I have a 24 Lariat and only option to change modes for me is on the console below the knob shifter.

Awesome. Well, if nothing else, I hope the lesson learned here is that there is actually useful information in the Owner's Manual. Who knew? 😀

I would argue that a steering wheel control is FAR less dangerous to mess with than a center console button.

In any case, the whole point was that there are two mode buttons that scroll forward/back on the 2025+ trucks. Once you know the sequence of the modes, it's probably MORE convenient than the earlier trucks, because you can go backwards. No menu fiddling is required.

Possibly, but it is cleverly concealed!

Because you you didn't realize what those buttons controlled. Now when you put the truck in eco mode, the next time you start it up, on center screen you'll be asked, if you want to return to your previous mode. You only have three seconds to OK.

At least you don't have to look down to select the drive mode while driving!!!

I've got the number of presses memorized so I don't have to look down, but I still reach for the key or a shift stalk on the steering column now and then.
