Was watching the Johnny's Car Care and Reviews guy on YouTube the other night.

He mentioned changing your Luxury Package code from 54L to 54B. Which basically just changes your luxury package to a drop-in bedliner (54B) rathen than a spray-in bedliner (54L).

So I realize that the spray-in bedliner is one of those items that is holding up production for a lot of people. But should I make this change to my order? I'm nervous that if I do it, everyone else does it and I still have to wait the same length of time to get my vehicle. Because who is to say the drop-in bedliner doesn't become limited availability itself? But if I don't... will I even get my truck before the summer? Just curious if anyone has any thoughts on this.

EDIT: here's a timestamped link from the vid I'm referring to:

TIm Bartz discussed this on one of his youtube videos when the change came out. He said it was basically a crap-shoot, for just the reasons you mentioned. If everyone changes, then the drop-in becomes the constraint. I have decided to leave mine just as it is with the spray-in.

This makes sense to me. I should really watch those Tim Bartz vids! Thanks for the comment.

That's the other issue. I would work with your dealer to try and get that reduced back to the original cost ($2345) especially since the drop-in is less desirable.

I’m curious if this is what’s causing some people to not get their Mavericks? Your BOM might still show a spray in liner and not the drop-in liner so it’s in manufacturing purgatory?? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Drop in bed liner was my first choice. I'm glad it was. Looks goods and it's solid. Not a fan of spray in.
