Yep. It's an M14 stud, same as an F150. Bolts/studs require enough torque to actually elastically stretch them a little bit in order for them to stay tight. The bigger the stud, the more torque (in general).
I don't know if I have a torque wrench that goes up this high. And yeah, might need to toss a breaker bar in the truck. yikes!

Not sure how many miles u have on it but Ford Roadside Assistance is free for 3 years/36,000 miles whichever comes first. I have used it to change a flat in my driveway…. Super satisfied with the service.

Some of my torque wrenches are 50 years old and the others are cheap from Harbor Freight. I need to calibrate them this spring. Sometimes my up and coming mechanics don’t back them out to zero before putting them back in the tool box and the internal spring will stretch during storage making them inaccurate.
When using a torque wrench that is out of calibration you will achieve consistent torque among the lug nuts, which will keep rotors from warping, but they may be too tight or too loose.
The accuracy of your calibration is dependent on the accuracy of the weights used to calibrate, so ultimately you need to find a certified scale to begin the process.
Lug nut torque is not as critical as engine fasteners, so some of my friends just hammer the four way over the rusted lug nuts tighten them up to the first grunt and call it good. One of them has been driving for nearly a year with four of the five lug nuts, no worries… yikes!

I’ve changed out a couple flat tires on my Wife’s car but so far so good on the Maverick. I know its just a matter of time!

On to the lug nuts. Despite all my efforts I could only loosen two of the five. After an hour of some seriously disgusting cursing* at the Ford service tech who battened them down to the nth degree, I texted my awesome neighbors.

2025 XL, FWD w/spare, Hybrid, Eruption green, with a bumper sticker that says "Póg Mo Thóin". Which purty much sums up what I'd like to say to the Ford tech who rotated my wheels.

*14 years dealing with inmates will do that to a person
Torque spec is 148 ft lbs, so tech did it correctly.....AAA is your friend here, had them for years....

*30 1/2 years here dealing with inmates for me....thankfully, I am now retired. Are you still on the job "rookie"? ;)

At 70+ I'm not ready for AAA yet but I'm not far from it.
I'm fan of my well used four-way lug wrench and homemade breaker bar. I keep behind the rear seat.
When I took possession of my Maverick and reading the post about how tight the lug nuts were I decided to be proactive, while I was still a few years younger. 🤣
I loosened and re-tightened all of the lug nuts.
I wanted to be sure, in an emergency I could remove them.
Maybe one of these days I'll buy me a torque wrench.

I've never had a problem using a four-way lug wrench.
If it gets stuck, you can wiggle it with both hands in order to release it.
And if you don't have a breaker bar, you can use both sides of the 4way lug wrench by pulling and pushing. If you are careful and can get it in the correct position, you can use your foot while you're pulling.
It stores nicely behind the seat.
I will definitely invest in a lug wrench and a breaker bar.

Nope, I retired at 62. Newly widowed, Covid, 500 inmates wanting to "help me in my time of grief" and a crooked warden were too much. It's bittersweet that I could retire early only because my husband's retirement funds were quite healthy.

Sorry for your loss - enjoy your retirement for a good long time. If there is one constant in an ever changing world, it is inmates wanting to "help" a person.....seen a few staff (too many) that get caught up in it only to get walked out the door in cuffs over crossing that line. I retired as a Lieutenant that was performing in an "acting Captain" title since if I had taken "full Captain" it would have crossed into management/confidential and made me ineligible for overtime.

It was always sad to see staff get compromised.

On the positive side, your tale perhaps provided some folks who might be in the same situation with information for a free no pain alternative to get along with an intact 3 year 36K mile warranty.
Call Ford and they will change your tire for you or tow the truck for repairs.
You don't need AAA for your new Maverick.

BTW - For those who get the extended Ford Premium Care Plan, in addition to the warranty extension, it includes all of those services for the term of the contract by calling 800-241-3673.
If they break the spare cone, they will replace it for free as well.

One thing I've learned about getting older is that it's okay to use available options rather than needing to soak away the aftermath of trying to do something yourself that was easy a decade ago.
Good luck with your truck.

67 and I’d do it myself but I do have a good 4 way lug wrench.
I use my foot and leg power and stand on it.
Always can break em free.

Op get it to the dealer and have them re torque the lugs to the proper specification.
