I have it in my 22 XLT. but mine is only on the center console and not in the foot wells.

I wouldn't want it in my footwells, all it would light up is the dirt there.

I also bought the brushed chrome interior pull handles for the ford escape platinum. Looks like theres spots to cut out for the ambient lighting there too in order to backlight the door handle pulls. I need to get those part numbers as well.

It definitely is. My XLT has the center console light. I have had the truck almost 1 year, and just figured out how to keep the light lit up when driving the truck. I would like the get the PN# for the ones that are in the foot wells and up inside the door pulls that are on the lariat. Want to pimp out my XLT a bit. Make it a bit nicer when driving it at night.

That is very cool. I doubt I'll trouble myself with it as the Maverick was the first vehicle I bought to ever have ambient lighting, but it does look good.

You did a helluva job . It looks very good.

I also added an ambient light to the center cubby area. I went the easy route and used a USB led light. I switched it to the color that best matched the interior lights and called it a wrap. I paid around $6 for the USB lights.

It's doesn't look as good as yours, but I can't complain for 6 bucks.

I love the woodgrain trim. Was that an evilbay item?

I love this idea and want to duplicate it. I have an XLT and it has the center cubby light. Heres the thing though, I wish it stayed on at night when driving. Is there a way I can change it so it stays lit?

Thank you for the tutorial on this. Would you happen to have the PN# of the foot well lights and pix of where they mount underneath. I want to do like you have, but the opposite. I have an XLT with the console light, but also want the foot well lights. I have no problem cutting and splicing in wires.

Really I can power it off the cigarette lighter since I don't use that but I would love it to be controlled by the same controller that the center console light is controlled by. Basically on and off with the center console.

Nice, but I dont need disco or rave color changing or jumping to the music. I only want the ice blue in the foot wells. I'm sure the LED modules from the dealer are pretty inexpensive. Easy enough to splice into the one in my center console. Could probably do this for less than $100 with factory parts.
