Whenever I make a call or receive a call the first time it doesn’t go thru but 2nd time it does anyone else have an issue with this?

I searched before putting this on the forum did not see anything like this. My phone is always has the latest and greatest update and Ford told me I did not have an update form my mav. I did a scan for updates and said no updates.think I've seen this mentioned several times in older threads mostly on the non sync 3 systems. Make sure your audio system is on the latest version in addition to your phone. Sometimes resetting the audio system helps. Search carplay and youll find lost of threads
WOW very interesting. I get Bluetooth disconnection notice's and calls thru Bluetooth are garbled and all around just bad, so I do not even try.I've got the same problem in my '22. It's always been there. Multiple iOS versions, multiple head unit software updates, multiple cables (usb and usb-c) and it's still a problem. And that's if CarPlay starts up on the first try, too. Sometimes it'll take 4-5 minutes, or multiple reseatings of the cable to either the phone or the USB port. Bluetooth works just fine though.
The good thing is that my wife knows not to answer the phone the first time I call her when I get off of work. The bad thing is that sometimes I get an incoming call from someone else before I call her, and have to do the whole dance and explanation that Ford builds technology-handicapped products.
Yes this happens to me also. It’s only the first call after connecting. Does not matter if it is by cable or blue tooth adapter. I have tried several different cables. software and firmware all around are up to date. Second and all subsequent calls no problem. It’s a minor annoyance but I can live with it. Certainly no where as annoying as that damn seatbelt screen! Not sure why I need a 40 second visual to tell me I have my seatbelt on. That one makes me want to smash the dash with a sledge hammer.Whenever I make a call or receive a call the first time it doesn’t go thru but 2nd time it does anyone else have an issue with this?
I am using an Apple usb c.My Pixel phone works very well using an ANKER USB-C cable and Android Auto, or through Bluetooth only. No problems at all with incoming or outgoing calls.
Even if you're using an OEM cable, try a different cable; either OEM or a known good brand like ANKER.
