Vaporwear at this point. No reason to give the scammers a penny.

IF it was a real offering, which I think is probably a 0.1% chance it will ever happen, then they're missing the boat without, at a minimum, a hybrid drivetrain. 25mpg sucks for a small vehicle now. IF they wanted to actually build a vehicle for the future, they'd go with an E-REV all-electric drive + range extender.

I wouldn't give them a look until n they've proven out. Shipping products in quantity and having been in service for a few years.

Refundable deposits don't mean crap if the company goes under.

If I’m living on a ranch when it comes out in 2028 - might be fun to have a flat bed with a 6 speed manual to bomb around in:)

I have no plans to live on a ranch. You never know for sure though.

DOA, never going to hit the market.
An inexpensive body on frame truck with an ICE drivetrain & manual shifting. Made in Texas.

Hanging on by a thread, maybe, but not DOA:)

All the boomers with nostalgia of their 90s - 00s single-cab, stick shift Rangers will JUMP on this. They'll sell HUNDREDS!! 😜

EDIT: but seriously, there's probably a market IF they can hold those prices, but it'll be tough to raise funding to ramp up an entirely new company with just a few low-priced and (probably) low margin products. As mentioned elsewhere, the specs are comparable to Ranger and Tacoma while being half price? Ford and Toyota are established companies and they aren't making anywhere close to 100% profit on anything

Interesting. Time will tell. Unless they POR15 every piece of steel on the truck it will never ever last for 500K up here.

Just like the boomers who jumped on the “$19,999” Maverick XL. I believe there are a few on this forum. What’s your excuse:)

Dimensionally it really isn't small; it's practically a mid-sizer unless the 74" width is suppose to be including mirrors (dubious considering that'd be even narrower than a Maverick or even old compact trucks). Otherwise it's as tall as a modern Ranger/Tacoma but a good bit shorter. Biggest tradeoff being the mediocre towing. And somehow half the price as those established models.

It is only a $25 deposit lol. Probably just meant to measure the response. They already have a marketing team:)

Of course the market is tiny for an ICE truck with a stick shift. Yes, it will be the ONLY ICE truck with a stick shift made in the US.

This is a not a truck for the future lol. Well, maybe there will be future “demolition derbies” just based on the REO:)

The “REO” brand name is currently owned by Volvo.

It appears this legit brand is being reintroduced?

It's vaporware, never going to see the light of day. Likely just a scam.

If it is a scam - they will soon be sued. The “REO” name for trucks is owned by Volvo.
