Can Ford Actually Build All These MY22 Mavericks?

I got an email last week with a 9/12 build week. I really don't pay attention to them as this is the third build week I have received so far. June 2021 order date. It comes when it comes. When I ordered I was going into office every day so the hybrid was important. Now I WFH and drive 1-2 times a week so while I really want the truck I am trying not to obsess over it. Still frustrating to be one of the first to order and last to receive a 2022.

That sucks you must be one of the longest. Seeing how it's going longer than a year is absurd.

Just called Ford custimer service for update on our Jan. 25, 2022 EcoBoost XLT order, no constraints.

Was told that scheduling for MY22 Mavericks has ended, as of yesterday, and that we would have to order a MY23 when that window opened. He couldn’t give a date for that but said he assumed “an email will go out.”

You are the second person who said customer support told them MY22 Scheduling is closed so maybe that's true.

Sorry I know that's a big disappointment. Hopefully you get scheduled early in the 23 model year.

I spoke to a person at a dealership on Monday the 2023 order banks probably will not open on Sept 15.

We were hopeful, Pa. Outdoorsman, because we are just north of you in Pa. and ordered with Ray Price Ford in Stroudsburg, on the very same date as you with pretty much the same basic truck, although without the 4K towing pkg., and we dropped the full-size spare on advice of our sales rep.

I still remain slightly hopeful that we could still get a build date... Goodness knows, there have been enough informational anomalies everywhere that really, who the heck knows what's really going on.

We have a call in to the sales rep. Just for fun...

Definitely could be true. It makes sense, but could be one more week. I think the goal is that all existing 22 vins be delivered before 2023. Getting a 22 brand new in 2023 just rings of bad publicity. Of course it's just speculation and anything could change and has all year.

Has it shipped yet or do you have an estimated delivery time frame? I have an estimated delivery time frame (email from Ford) stating between September 17, 2022 and September 23, 2022 but not showing shipped yet.

Our truck has not shipped; we have no delivery date (prior delivery date passed over 15 days ago and my call to Ford got no new estimated shipping or delivery date); nor will Ford tell me what the microchip is for or when it will be available to complete the build. I do hope your truck does not get caught in a microchip shortage hold.

I ordered June 2021, Lariat hybrid. Dealer said it is "in the body shop". Not sure what that means. It is supposed to be delivered Sept. 22 to Dealership. I have window sticker and VIN, which I have had for a long time through many delays and push back. I'll believe getting this truck when it actually arrives but "in the body shop" tells me it is built and probably waiting on a part or chip or something.

Vehicle manufacture goes Body Shop => Paint Shop => Assembly

Body Shop is where the vehicle's body is welded together.

Then it is painted.

Assembly is where the engine, transmission, electronic modules, etc. are added.

don't believe it. Plenty of us with VINs are still on scheduling roller coaster for our MY22s being built.

Wish we had a VIN — That would at least be something.

Heard back from our sales rep, but he had no idea what was going on, and just encouraged us to “hang on.”

I have considered (perhaps others have already had this thought) that all those who have recently been assigned a VIN, thereby a 2022 model, maybe have a truck built and wind up setting an unspecified time to have their potential missing microchip(s) installed later.

just speculation but such would allow Ford to ”build” as many 2022 Mavericks as possible.

I have a Hybrid XLT ordered on 10/15/2021. I was given an August 15 build date, and have been pushed back three times so far to a 9/5 build date. I have been waiting all week for the email pushing me back to 9/12...haven't gotten it yet.

I also ordered my XLT Hybrid, with luxury package, on 10/15/21. But I have heard squat from Ford. I call the hotline every 3-4 weeks with the same response, that being "your order is in the system, but not yet scheduled to be assigned a VIN or go into production". Hearing that your 10/15 order is scheduled for production at least gives me hope.

I have an XLT Hybrid in Alto-Blue ordered on 10/21/2021 and it has so far gone from scheduled build dates of: 8/08, 8/15, 8/22, 8/29, 9/05 and most recently as of Monday - 9/19.

My friend ordered a Lariat LUX from the same dealer on 10/13/2021 and was only bumped back once (8/22 to 8/29) and as of now his truck is being built this week (window sticker, production tracker, the works)

I have hybrid XLT LUX+3 adds never changed anything ordered 8/27/21 scheduled and pushed several times have had vin 7-9 weeks.got build email two weeks (+/-) ago for 9/5/22. = have they started early?On 9/2/22 got w sticker. Downloaded it 9/3/22 and it shows 000000 2227/2812 Ramp RH80 (

). Dealer reports my ETA IS 10/7/22(+/-) I am 1:47 drive time from ramp. ALSO I believe that constraints have mostly been acquired and the mysterious battery harness has been checked and some are ok and some have been pulled and manufacturer has stepped up production or 2023 models quota has been reassigned. I further believe the BEAN COUNTERS have approved OT for HRM! I have also now received vin and ETA of 11/10/22(+/-) for my hybrid XLT +hitch, inverter, & tailgate lock ordered 10/26/21. It appears that I will get both the ones I have ordered, my son will be real happy.
