Can Ford Actually Build All These MY22 Mavericks?

I spoke to a person at a dealership on Monday the 2023 order banks probably will not open on Sept 15.

The latest Fleet bulletin (here) still has order banks (for fleet anyway) coming alive on 9/15.

It sure would be nice if FORD would do something as simple as stating when the order banks open. It is silly to rely on dealers to spread anecdotal information and cause confusion and angst.

It is even worse to have random tidbits of junk (such as this) reported on an internet forum as information.

I don't think there is a 9/12 build week in play. My 9/5 hybrid got bumped to 9/19 yesterday. Hope yours goes through next week though. 2022 is the year of living dangerously.

I got an email last week with a 9/12 build week. I really don't pay attention to them as this is the third build week I have received so far. June 2021 order date. It comes when it comes. When I ordered I was going into office every day so the hybrid was important. Now I WFH and drive 1-2 times a week so while I really want the truck I am trying not to obsess over it. Still frustrating to be one of the first to order and last to receive a 2022.

Originally a Aug 2021 order for me. XLT, Lux CP360, Rear window, Spray in BL. Finally received a build email and status on the tracker. Now just more waiting for shipping. Mine was pushed back for production 5-6 times starting in June. Built on 30 Aug 22. All original options ordered showing on the window sticker. I refused to remove options I wanted and waited it out. I sure don't see them meeting even some of the orders that have received late production dates unless they continue building 2022's past the proposed end of MY build time frame. But, who knows maybe Ford will surprise us.

I ordered the same Trim and options on 6/17/2021. According to Ford, truck was built on 7/9/2022 but is sitting in Mexico awaiting one microchip. I am starting to wonder if the needed microchip is being diverted to other more profitable Ford models or if Ford has as severe microchip shortages across all models with Lux and CP360 options.

I honestly dont think they want to roll anything to a 23 to avoid handing out price protection rebates so I could see them pushing production out even further to get as many 22s as possible, who knows though. Im sure they will build as many as they can with the parts they have...which doesnt bode well for constrained rollover 23s as those constraints are magically going away and will likely be new constraints pop up.

Well. what they want to do and what they have to do are two different things. Same for us all.

I just got a phone call from my dealer telling me I'm scheduled for the week of Oct 31st. Haven't gotten anything from Ford yet though.

Has it shipped yet or do you have an estimated delivery time frame? I have an estimated delivery time frame (email from Ford) stating between September 17, 2022 and September 23, 2022 but not showing shipped yet.

I can sympathize with you - One of the early (first) in line orders & still waiting. I ordered 7/26/21 Hybrid, RR, First Edition, Lux Pkg, CoPilot 360 & after 15 push backs since end of May, I finally received a actual Ford email saying (Built 8/30/22) & awaiting shipment.. I now check several times a day on the tracker checking if shipped. Nothing yet.
Sorry you've had to wait so long, Mine will be going on 14 months since order date. Oh yeah, they gave me a ETA of 9/8 to 9/19 which seems somewhat unrealistic going to Springfield, IL. CS told me it will go by rail to Nogolos, AZ & then to E. St. Louis, IL to be shipped via common carrier to dealer, approximately 100 milses.d.

Just tried to track my order like I do every day and voila! I have a window sticker! Hope that is good news!

Wow Larry that is terrible! You ordered way before the long line and before lux or 360 was an issue. There are many who orderd after you that have been driving their Mavericks for months. That is wrong, sorry.

Maverick production ought to get really "interesting" between now and the end of the year. Based on everything I see on this forum, it seems typical for people to be bumped back 4-5 week from the original build date until their truck finally goes into production.

I just got scheduled this week for the week of 11/7, which is SUPPOSED to be the final week of MY22 Maverick production. However, considering that multiple push back are common, what are the odds Ford actually finishes MY22 Maverick production the week of 11/7? Let's just say I wouldn't bet big money on it.

And if they CAN'T get all the VINs they've assigned built by then, how long do they extend My22 production? I mean, at that point there will only be 7 weeks left in the calendar year. Ford can't build MY22 Mavericks in calendar year 2023!

Finally, what does all this mean for MY23 Mavericks? Will Ford again delay opening of order banks? Or will they. just delay the time before they actually start scheduling and building 23s?

Hang in there. Ine is built at the 8 month mark with two push backs. Waiting for shipping, but that could be another story.

Just called Ford custimer service for update on our Jan. 25, 2022 EcoBoost XLT order, no constraints.

Was told that scheduling for MY22 Mavericks has ended, as of yesterday, and that we would have to order a MY23 when that window opened. He couldn’t give a date for that but said he assumed “an email will go out.”
