Late 2023 XLT Hybrid Lux package(built 10/5/2023, picked up 10/31/2023). 1 issue, check engine light came on at 700 mi. It was a simple evap purge valve issue, dealer repaired in a couple hours after parts came in.
No other issues since. Very easy to drive, feels solid and planted. Surprisingly peppy considering the listed specs, and averaging 42-43 mpg since new. Highway mileage is slightly less, but still in the high 30's.
Overall we really like this truck!

23 Lariat delivered last August. Exceeded my expectations for interior quality, quiet at road speed, seats quite comfortable, drives, handles, and rides better than most small trucks.
No electrical problems...aside from the passenger door has been quirky about unlocking with just a touch ( lariat is keyless and should unlock the doors when you touch the handles...). Did get a recall about a software update for turn signals. I won't go in for that. But maybe some day it will need something at a dealer and would have that done then. NO dead battery ever...
Having owned a Ford hybrid Cmax before, I was ready for some of the things a hybrid does. Meaning the grabby brakes ( DO ride the brakes first thing you do when in it for the first time each day for a 100 feet or so) that go away once you put some heat in them first thing each trip. Not heating up the cab quickly, noises associated with ac and other things running without engine running, etc. You get used to it. The reward is ac anytime you are parked with little fuel use, and of course great fuel mileage.
I like my Maverick. For the cost, nothing compares.

I’ve had mine since late August 2023. I have 12,000 miles on it and just got my first oil change. No problems at all!

After 500+ plus days of waiting my Maverick has been built and awaits shipping....
To say Im nervous about the issues that I have read about is an understatement, this is my 1st new car in many many years.
Im hoping that Ford has worked out the kinks and My new Mav will be trouble free. I would appreciate some honest input, opinions and real life experiences that would help me pull the trigger on my 2024 Maverick.
Thanks in advance!

Two hybrids, '23s. Only because I wrecked one. Zero problems and loved them. 500 days is a lot. My mind would be running wild too.
I waited almost that long for my first Maverick and was pretty anxious myself but the day it came it all went away. You're going to be so happy with it.

I received my 2024 lariat on 1-12-24. So far I’m loving it. No issues. I understand how you feel. Some people on here had me kinda questioning getting it. But I’ll say I’m happy with my decision. Try to remember some people seem to dwell on the negative. I believe MOST owners love there Mavericks 🙂

I have 23 Lariat. I like the truck. There are some engineering things I wish ford would change such as that shifter on the console and needing to select eco instead of starting out in eco.
One thing that really caught me by surprise was how much the gas mileage has changed during the cold weather. Driving a distance that would have been almost 50 mpg is 20 mpg. I assume that the engine is running more so that I have heat..
Many on this forum say driving the Hybrid in Slippery mode will give you better mileage than Eco. It certainly does for me. Try it for a week.

Running the heat in winter will run the gasoline engine a lot more than normal. So mileage definitely takes a hit - even much more than running the electric A/C in summer, which has been negligible in my experience. Warming up the cab in winter by pre-starting will definitely use more fuel.

6 months & 3000 miles in and still love my truck! I've had the deep sleep alert once in a while, but honestly it hasn't affected anything adversely.

I have had my 23 Lariat Lux Hybrid for just over a year and about 8K miles without any problems affiliated with the truck. I have had the recalls that applied to my specific truck taken care of by my selling dealer and still to this day, my only negative it that my dealership hit me with hidden additional dealer markup. The only real issue isn't Fords fault is when I drove it to CA. from NM, I got caught in two short sandstorms just west of Barstow CA. which pitted my windshield and paint. The only two changes I would make is a little more length to give the rear seat passengers more leg room and I am looking at getting the 1 1/2 lowering kit to accommodate my back pain issues.

I got my 23 XLT hybrid in July. I am still thrilled and surprised with this vehicle and feel fortunate to have it. I did have a deep sleep problem and my dealer replaced the battery with the Ford Max type. This is a more powerful battery than the original and hopefully will solve the problem.

No vehicle will ever be trouble free…..

Our 2023 XLT Maverick is last week of 2023 builds. Only options are Lux pkg., Sliding Rear Window and Non-carpeted all weather mats. Took delivery on 11/21/23 following a 14 month wait.
So far the couple things that’s popped up 3500 miles in are the following: minor passenger side dash rattle but only on very bumpy pavement, middle rear seat belt constantly causing the seat belt warning chime and dash to go off unless buckled (I need too take in for this) and finally I had connection the infotainment system to Wi-Fi for an update, screen was going blank. Since the update it’s been fine. No blinker issues that there’s a recall out for 2023’s.

As a reminder, everyone needs to connect their infotainment systems to Wi-Fi so you can receive pushed updates. Beyond that we absolutely love this little truck! Rides great, excellent mileage averaging 38-40 mpg running around our city.
