I have a 2025 Maverick Lobo, and I am wanting to get red caliper covers, but they are so hard to find. Anyone have any recommendations? (Remember, they have the braking system from the Focus ST)

It's a little more labor intensive, but you could remove the calipers and brackets and paint them red.

It's worth the time and effort, IMO. Covers just look "fake" to me, kind of like a wheel cover over a steel wheel trying to look like an alloy one. Sorry @WolfMaster, I know I'm not being very helpful.

That's fine, I am open to all suggestions. I was just wanting to try not having to paint them. There are some nice looking covers out there, but they mainly are made for other models. Some may fit my Lobo, but they are quite expensive.

That's would I would do. Had some covers for my Mustang, but decided not to use 'cause they don't really cover all of the caliper.

My Turbofan rims are my caliper covers. You’d need a borescope to see their color. Sorry not helpful:(

It's not necessary to disassemble to paint, in my experience. I used G2 paint system. It's not too complex. Car raised, wheels off, clean calipers and brackets, paint 2 coats. It's actually applied using an acid brush and with no brush marks.

I always paint my calipers. It looks so much better thant bare metal or rust. It's very easy to do. just clean them up, mask it off, 3 coats of color and 2-3 coats of clear. I use high temp engine paint, but it is not necessarry.

I agree. I've done it this way twice with the Duplicolor high temp enamel caliper paint with great results.

Painted calipers look terrible. Caliper covers are slightly better. But both are just cheesy substitutes for Brembo's.

Of course, because Brembos are the only calipers "worthy" of protecting from corrosion.

My 24 isn't a Lobo, I made it a "Grabber" and that included painting the calipers and rotor outer perimeter and hubs. Not that difficult, though removing any overspray from the braking surfaces is recommended. I used Duplicolor Caliper paint and it is holding up quite well. Last photo was taken last weekend after a year and almost 3 months, through 14,500 miles.
