Only remorse I have is paying for the "full size" spare tire. If I could do it again I'd still go with an XL

Buyer's remorse? No way! I picked up an Area 51 Hybrid First Edition two weeks ago. I love my little truck! As someone else mentioned, it is very easy to get in/out, and once in, the cabin and seats are quite comfortable. I've already taken one trip (300-miles each way), and really enjoyed driving the maverick. The Advanced Cruise Control really helps to make highway driving a more relaxed experience, despite the horrible (sometimes stop-and-go) traffic on I-35 between Austin and Dallas.

I love the ride and handling of the Maverick. It is head and shoulders above both the Prius that I replaced with it, and the Chevy Silverado 2500HD that I sold not too long ago. I have yet to encounter any situation where I wished I had more power than the hybrid can produce. It feels plenty peppy both around town and getting onto the highway. Passing on 2-lane roads is likewise easy.

I've already used the Maverick to haul a light load of rock for my wife's garden, to deliver a table that we sold, and to take my wife on a date (dinner and a musical). Later in the week, it will become Santa's sleigh, as we take a load of presents to Christmas at my son's house.

Driving it at night, I have been really impressed with how well the headlights (at least on the Lariat) light up the road ahead. And the auto-dimming high-beams worked exactly as it should. I REALLY appreciated the fact that (unlike the Prius) I wasn't staring directly into the bright lights of oncoming vehicles. It sits just high enough to reduce the glare.

So far, my only "complaint" is with the auto-stop braking feature. The Maverick tends to "lurch" forward when I tap the throttle to disengage it, and I haven't quite figured out how to creep it forward the last 2-3 inches when I manage to stop short of the parking "bumper" in my garage... If I stop too far back, the overhead door won't close. The "stopper" keeps me from hitting anything in front of the truck. This garage is a tight fit! But I've gotten a little better at getting it into the garage, so I'm hopeful even this minor gripe will soon become a distant memory...

Buyer's remorse? None!

Yes. My wife decided last week she likes the Maverick better than her Toyota hybrid.

The Maverick is now “hers” and the Toyota is now “mine.”

I haven’t driven the Maverick much since her announcement.

“Happy wife happy life.”

Yea, I should have ordered a 2023 before they stopped taking orders. I wouldn't care how long it would take since I have one already.

Yeah, I knew better... Every truck we've gotten has become "her truck" shortly after arrival... This time around, I planned for that, and ordered one for each of us.

I went ahead and bought one off a local dealer lot (new Hybrid FE in Area 51) because I doubt Ford will be able to deliver both of our orders, and A51 is a color we could both live with. It is "my truck" until/unless the Cyber Orange one comes through, then it will become "her truck." At least that was the plan... But yesterday, she came up with a name for it, and told me I had no say in the matter, since it's "her truck"... Uh oh...

I have one of the first 7000 (6270) built and have had it over a year and put 32,000 miles on her and have not had one major problem at all. and honestly have only had one tiny issue so far. I wouldn't even mention it as an issue to anyone looking at my truck. It has been a very good vehicle so far.
