I am getting a spray-in liner with a bed mat and tri-fold cover. I was thinking of adding dynamat behind the back seats and maybe inside the doors up front.

What issues? I've had my Mav since March and love it. So much so I ordered another one with current build date 9/19. It's the most perfect vehicle I need for what I do.

Also where can you go buy a new truck for 25K?

I understand your sentiment, but buyer's remorse is a very subjective thing. I think the seats are really comfortable; FriarPop doesn't. We could give every stat that exists on the seats, but we both believe what we believe.

The best "facts" I can give are: mine has averaged 40 mpg since I bought it, and after 3,000 miles nothing has failed. True, the whole truck may fall apart in a year, but he didn't ask me a year from now. All we can do is answer honestly based on what we currently know, right?

There's an old saying, "If you get great service, you'll tell 5 or 6 people; if you get lousy service, you'll tell everyone you know." Since more than 90% of the replies were no buyer's remorse, that at least tells the original poster that in the first month to year this is a great vehicle (so far) according to the average guy.

Your point is largely valid; there's just not much we can do at this point to remedy it. Time will tell.
the seats are amazing, the only car ive owned with more comfy seats is an 09 srt challenger, and that felt like a cadillac inside.....while sitting still anyway,,😁

Get the Ecoboost.
An elaboration on this reply:

I have ZERO regrets buying my Maverick XL EB FWD with SIBL, Co-Pilot 360, rear slider window, floor mats. At this point, I'm a few hundred miles away from 8000 miles of ownership, mostly commuter miles and multiple trips to GA and the west coast of Florida. I'm two oil changes/tire rotations in: the first was to get the "alien blood" out as recommended by many on this forum (done at 2800 miles) and the other done at 7374 miles. After this, I'll go back to getting oils changes done every 5000 miles.

Gas mileage has exceeded expectations for the EB engine. Regularly getting 28mpg city driving in Eco mode, around 26 if I beat him like a running mule. Those multiple interstate trips to GA? Gas mileage has been a mind-blowing 33 to (sit down for this) 39 MPG. The only thing I need to give consideration to in the near future is better tires. The Continentals are fine for farting around in the city but aren't going to hold up well for future GA trips. Need to get some really good all weather tires with some grab to them for the terrain in GA. (FINALLY bought property up there. :))

Wish the XL came with cruise control. Didn't think I'd miss this feature until I started traveling more frequently.

I wanted a no-frills truck and I got it. It's fun to drive and 250hp is enough to get out of its own way. If it stays reliable to 150K+, I'll be a happy owner and a repeat buyer in 5-6 years from now.

Thought I'd miss my Honda Accord, but I don't.

If I could do it all over again I would have never purchased my Maverick. After my experience I will NEVER buy another Ford again. NEVER.

The car has had significant defects out the gate and trying to work with any of the local dealerships to get it resolved is like pulling teeth. Ford corporate doesn't care and has a phone tree designed to waste your time and spin your wheels without providing any resolutions.
Can you elaborate on these defects?

I'm averaging 27.5 (hand calculated) in normal mode and mixed driving of freeway (70-75 mph), two-Lane (45-55 mph) and city (25-35 mph) over 1,100 miles. About 30% freeway.

I usually have the sunroof open, front windows down and rear manual slider open. I've only used the AC for about 15 miles.

I'm starting to suspect folks posting poor mpg (20ish) with mixed driving have the AC on all the time? My mileage was dropping like a stone for the short distance I had the AC on.

When Consumer Report does mileage testing, they use the AC sometimes, but pretty sure it's not all the time and their mileage ratings are usually pretty accurate.😉

Its just a shame, i have more recalls then problems, well its got to go to the dealership to address them all. I dont care for dealerships, they can never fix my Fords.

"Pickup" yes! Like a new puppy or dog, what kind of person regrets their new pickup? No pretentiousness, no pissing contest. Just honest utility, and that's it.
Gee, thanks. 1 like from you is as enjoyable as five Sue....
Because of your lovely name(s) that you kindly elaborated upon previously.

For all that are contemplating sound deadning, i highly recomend it, did mine however i will revisit when it cools down. I have more ideas for mods...the quietest vehicle i have ever owned by far!!

The stereo rocks as well..

The AC will run you out of the truck @110°ambient.

I am getting to order a 2023 Maverick and I am getting concerned about all the issues I am reading about. Anyone want to chime in and make me feel more confident about my potential purchase? How many of you are sorry you bought the vehicle.
5200 miles on hybrid. 1 recall, no other issues. I would recommend this vehicle for sure. Sips fuel and rips right out into traffic !

I have the AC on whenever I'm in my Maverick. We'll all die in FL without AC. What I miss from our old (1989) Ford F-150 is the little triangular window in the a-pillar. Those would be a neat feature in future Mavericks.

i have a Lariat, full package, minus sunroof. Almost 7000 miles.. No problems at all. Had the recall done, took 8 hrs to complete, Ford picked up and delivered at my work. Love the way it handles. Would buy another when the time comes.

The 2.5L atkinson hybrid powerplant is hardly new, it's been used by Ford since '09.
Cant seem to see where I said anything against the Atkinson engine or how long Ford has had it. Only mentioned my reason why I ordered the 2.0. It is my preference of an engine.
