I understand. But I still censor it. I work with PHI/PII on a daily basis and so censoring anything that could lead to anything personally identifying is just default behavior. So far, the truck hasn't popped on Ford's website. After it does, I won't exactly bring attention to it.oh, I didn't notice before that you'd censored the VIN. it's everywhere. I bet it's on your Ford dealer's website or will be once it's in transit. you can't do anything harmful with a VIN number and they're shown on all vehicles at the base of the windshield so anyone walking up to your vehicle can easily see it.
it's harmless, just like license plate numbers, but if it makes anyone feel better to spend the time to censor them that's cool.
