What we do on Bronco6G is band together and hammer the dealer with 1* google reviews until they come around and drop the ADM.

Just did it to Loganville Ford yesterday.

What a bummer!!! When I placed my order I did not have anything signed by Sales Dept., & as time went on, I became more & more uncomfortable, so I asked my Salesman to. give me a signed copy with Sales Manager. He gave me my on-line printout of the Mavrick & Sales Manager signed it & I signed it, so hopefully I'm covered at RSVP as stated. I ordered on 7/26/21 Lariat Hybrid, 1st Edition, Lux Pkg., CoPilot 360 & still waiting.

I hope your greedy dealer suffers as a result with bad PR. Thanks for your Service.
I also had no signed purchase price agreement and I too relied on the dealers word…fortunately in my case the dealer was straight up and honored the deal…

I know, I know, I know....... I should have got something signed when I ordered my Mav back in July. I was told in my meeting during ordering that
I was locking in price and would avoid the almost guaranteed rise in value as demand goes up. Waited close to 6 months eagerly checking status of my order dang near everyday. Truck get delivered this morning 12-15-21. Dealership calls this morning to tell me there would be a $4,500 dealer mark up. Being that I am already out of that state due to a military PCS I would already have to buy a $500 plane ticket as well as almost 12 hour drive back to my new home I have decided to back out. So now a beautiful Ford Mav sitting in Altus, Oklahoma at a very crappy dealership of Wilmes Ford. At a awesome $4,500 mark up, which they may change to almost $8,000 as they are telling me they gave me a half off discount on the mark up!!!!!!! How kind of them for thinking of me in doing that!!!! Nope go screw yourself Wilmes Ford of Altus, Oklahoma.
Call Ford customer service. Dealers should not charge markup on customer orders, this is absolute BS. Explain the service member family angle as well. Get a reference # from the call then call back the dealer and say you've filed a complaint directly with ford and you can provide them the reference number and this is their last chance to make good. Next up you're going to leave a negative review on Google and Yelp. Also explain that this is now a topic on the biggest Ford Maverick Forum on the internet :)

If a dealer pulled this on me after giving me their word I would lose it on them and I'm a pretty calm guy. I have a YouTube channel with millions of video views and tens of thousands of followers and I'd have no problem detailing my experience on YouTube where it would LIVE FOREVER :)

Please have your wife go ion and see her JAG officer and call the JAG officer at your old duty station and ask him to make a call. This POOP ain’t fright. As a SDV i get pissed when our troops and family get swindled. I would also tell the story to the base and local newspaper and if there is a base Credit Union i would call the manager. You may not get your MAV but just by telling your experience you may help many other servicemen an women. It’s kinda like it is now your duty to make your shipmates aware.

Id appreciate that very much as I do not have the impressive following you do. Let me know what you need from me!

That really sucks. I would be livid. I got worried a couple of months ago and emailed my salesman, he said all customer orders are MSRP plus tax and registration and the $89 fee. I can live with that. Stock orders and those people have walked away from will get marked up. Understandably.

Another kicker is that in an email after I stated how I felt I was being wronged, the dealer owner said to me that if I back out they will have no problem selling to another person with 1 to 2 days......... confirming the fact they probably had this in mind the entire time my truck was on order

I've been there too with Jim Click Ford in Tucson. At least I didn't have to wait tell it came in to find out they wanted to screw me. I walked back in October and the truck was delivered last week (Hybrid). I would have been one of the first one here to have my hybrid =(.

Did you order a hybrid or eco-boost? You will likely see a lot of stock units available from people who walk away in the next few months. However, they too will likely be over MSRP.

Wow.. they had the nerve to put their scandalous intentions in writing. I would be forwarding that email to the highest up Ford person's email I could find.

Called the dealer back and ask for it in writing, then ask for names and once they have gave you their info just said that you spoke with Ford and they are opening an investigation and they need documents and names and say "I guess Ford didn't like you guys raising the prices on a Veteran on custom retail orders.

Or you can call the news and let them know, either way they don't like bad publicity.

My dealer manager said " If I ordered the Truck & signed..the invoice... that I HAVE to get the Truck or their dealership could be in a whole lot of trouble... because some dealers do try that stunt... I figured he was just being sure that I get the vehicle as No One can make me buy anything lol... But then said If I decide not to get it He can sell it no problem...(Which I am going to get it...Sales lady said No mark up,, I pay what's on the invoice I signed because she wants me to be a long term customer . ;-) I told her I haven't bought a new vehicle in 25 yrs & never a Ford lol. We will see if things changes with them.

Do not pay that markup, that is totally classless by the dealer to do that when putting your order in. Like others have said, I had 2 orders at one point and both dealerships I worked with had a signed paper with total cost and no markup. I ended up finding a vehicle from a customers cancelled order elsewhere and I still only paid MSRP + shipping to my home.

If you want to really get results, I'd highly suggest reporting this dealership to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) https://www.bbb.org/ . This is a formal system I find works and usually gets the attention of ownership.

I just looked at their website and noticed that they are located on N. Veterans Drive.

Ironic...

Reading about this Veteran's deal with a Dealership irked me, but he did make the deal with words alone. Returning from Vietnam and purchasing a new "muscle car" with a local dealer and bank was made via telephone call with words alone. Handshakes with a smile meant a lot, and still do members of our Armed Services.

Now, after reading the address of this Dealership's location has REALLY irked me. Social media be damned - Investigative Reporting by local, state, and Federal resources seems in order..... If I can be of help, please contact me.
